Beginning Landless
Getting Started
After you first spawn on your boat, your first task is to get aquainted with the space. Before you drive away, note that there is a floating cargo crate on the right hand side of your vessel. Approach it and loot it, to access items in this game you must click "F".

Boat Basics
After you collect your things from the crate, there are three things I have used the m,ost while playing.

Driving,
there are TWO wheels where you can drive your boat, one in the cabin, and one on the main deck just outside the door. You can see both in the photo above. Controls for driving are the same as your movement.
W- forward
S - Backward
A - turning left
D - Turning right

UI Layout
Left Side - Your Stat
Note: the stats that are not filled in I am still trying to figure out their function, if anyone knows leave a comment below and I will update!

Body temperature: If this falls below 60 degrees you begin to lose health, body temperature lowers the longer you stay in the ocean or any water source. Prolonged swimming is not reccomended!
Stamina: Stamina is your personal energy levels, running, swinging your axe and hammer both drain this stat.
Thirst: Thirst is managed by accessing your water bottles in your inventory and right clicking them. Consuming water adds an empty water in your intentory, to refill these approach the crafting table in the cabin of your boat and click on the "Refill H2O" in the main UI screen. This refills your water while lowering the level of H2O your vessel contains. Don't worry though, H2O refills when it rains!
Hunger: Eat to fill your hunger stat, there are plenty of things to eat in the world of LANDLESS, killing fish, sharks, orcas, squid, tuna, birds, and whales all provide food. But there is also farming! Farming potatos also priovides food. NOTE: you cannot eat raw food! Cook these at the crafting table in your boat's cabin!
Health: You take a lot of damage in Landless, so be prepared to heal yourself! Eating seems to raise health, but be sure to always keep spare First Aid Kits around! If you die, you respawn at the last place you saved, so save often and strategically!
Sleep (unmarked in photo, upper right circle on ui: Drowsieness is as straight forward as it comes, sleep at night in your boat, on any bed, or if in a pinch "napping" can help raise your sleep bar by a good chunk in the middle of the day.
Tip: when encountering a container ship, save in your boat right beside it, becaue you may die often on these "boss" battle boats.

Towns
So far there are only two towns that I have come aross, Leaven town, and another one.

Although the pitcure I provided is a bit blurry, there are markers to show where these towns are at.

Blue/Teal Marker:
This is leaven town, the town you first encounter when beginning the game.
This town has plenty of containers that you can loot for easy supplies, and has a diving suit you can freely use to collect items from the bottom of the ocean.

In the last photo I provided, there are two quest givers in leventown. One is to kill sharks, the other to kill bandits.

Leaventown consists of
General Store
Alchemist
Turtle Express jobs
2 quest givers
blackbox turn in
Plenty of containers to loot
diving suit

White Marker:
This is the town far from Leaventown, but when you arrive it offers a great chance to upgrade your vessel.

This town consists of
Few containers to loot
A diving suit
Turtle Express jobs
Blackbox turn in
Arms dealer
Boat Upgrade dealer (2 of them)
Inn keeper
building supplier
Woil - Currency
The importance of Woil
Woil is the currency for landless, to craft, buy things you need woil.

Crafitng items costs woil to do, like cooking food or making your base into a fortress.
And to trade with the local villagers in Leavenwroth and the other town, you need woil to obtain their goods.

Obtaining Woil

You can obtain woil through various methods:

Killing whales (Hinted at by a villager, not tested yet)
Selling items to Merchants in towns and tribute bases
completing quests
completing Turtle express jobs

Tips for fast Woil:
I have found that taking a diving suit underwater at the main towns is one of the best ways to collect woil. Not only can you get a large amount of supplies from these dives, but you can sell any excess O2 tanks to merchants for 50 woil each.

Tribute homes- searching their chests and planters offers a rare chance to find boat upgrades. Should you have the upgrades already, these can be sold for a large sum of Woil
Enemies
Here is a list I am creating of the enemies you can encounter during your travels across LANDLESS.
I will also be adding photos as I get them.

Tiger Sharks - easily dispatchable with a pistol.
Hammerhead Sharks - these creatures flee when hit. Shotgun or sniper rifle reccomended
Orcas - Orcas have more health than the tiger sharks, and do heavy damage to your boat. Shotgun or stronger is reccomended
Whales - DO NOT APPROACH ON A BOAT, these heavy hitters flip your boat, and can only be slain with harpoon guns.
Angler Fish - encountered in diving suit, no known way to kill them when they attack. I have only come across these in ruined skyscrapers
Megaladon - Encountered this terror of the sea only once, will instantly flip your boat and kill. DO NOT ENGAGE ON A NORMAL BOAT, flee to a tribute house or settlement. The game UI states these beasts of nightmare are only slain by harpoon guns.
Abyssal Worm - these beasts are encountered underwater, slain with 9 harpoon bolts. They attack by shooting smaller worms at you, but those can be avoided.

Leviathon - First encounter was at the White Settlement marker when traveling underneath, these guys are very dangerous to encounter, but can be killed.
Tips against the Leviathon - shoot harpoons at its mouth, your minimap helps you in finding these guys when they disappear into the haze. keep backing away from it to avoid most of its attacks.

More to come
I will be adding more to this guide soon, please add comments or send me messages offering more information to be added. Together we can make a great guide to this fun and exciting new survival game!

I should clarify that when I say "torp" I mean "exploding harpoon that moves like a drunk torpedo"

Angler Fish die to two torps. Easy enough to side step their charge attacks after the first try or two. Can aslo be killed with short exposure to the cutting torch on the suit. Came across them in a sunken ship. Several of them.
The smaller worms the Abyssal worm fires at you can also be encountered when searching loot piles in a sunken ship. Just side step em they'll run into a wall and fade away eventually.

I will see if I can locate all of the possible markers then add them to the guide.

Just curious if anyone has come to any conclusions on the mini map markers. The only ones I'm not 100% sure are the Yellow & Grey looking hazard markers, I figured they were possibly Megladon & Leviathon spawns but not sure. Oil drums are Sperm whale spawn points but have not been able to 100% confirm since the always move. Enemies, crates, islands, and tankers are obvious but was unsure of the others.

Good writeup, nothing new to myself, but this will be great to help out people. And for the record, the Leviathan, is a real birch!
