Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey arrived in Jim Crockett Promotions in 1985 and immediately picked up their rivalry with the Rock N Roll Express. In early 1986 the Midnight Express won the world tag titles from the Rock N Rolls. The Midnight Express would also have feuds with The New Breed and The Road Warriors which would culminate in a scaffold match at Starrcade '86.
