In this section I will list all of the characters unlocked by stars in World Tour.

*NOTE - By purchase I mean you simply need to have the amount of stars required. Once you have that amount you may go to the character in World Tour and unlock them, not actually SPENDING any stars. Thank you.

Amigo - To unlock Amigo, purchase him for 8 stars in the first world of World Tour. He is a rather funky monkey whose land vehicle is a train-cart.

Danica Patrick - To unlock this real-world racer, purchase her for 16 stars in the second world of World Tour. She sports a bright green racecar as her main vehicles.

Vyse - Another one of my favorites, purchase him in the third world for 30 stars in World Tour. He has a cart similar to his airship from his game.

Shadow - To unlock Sonic's rival, purchase him for 35 stars in the second world. He has a cart very similar to a tank, and is my favorite.

Pudding - To unlock this character, purchase her for 50 stars in the fourth world. She is personally my least favorite character, but her cart is a bright green futuristic cart.

Nights - To unlock this transformer, purchase it for 80 stars in World Tour. It transforms into the car itself while another passenger rides it.

Joe Mushashi - To unlock this stealthy ninja, purchase him for 85 stars in World Tour. Personally I think he look's plain awesome, and he rides a black quad bike.

Gum - To unlock Gum, purchase her for 105 stars in World Tour. She rides a vehicle similar to Beat, one of the starting characters.

Gilius Thunderhead - To unlock this animalistic viking, purchase him for 120 stars in world tour. He rides several animal vehicles, including a gryphon.

Reala - To unlock Reala, purchase it for 160 stars in Word Tour. Like Nights, Reala becomes the vehicle itself while a passenger rides it.

Ages - To unlock Ages, you must purchase it for 165 stars in World Tour. Ages is like a transforming vehicles which features a Dreamcast controller for a boat.

This section includes 2 characters that are unlocked by other methods.

Doctor Eggman - To unlock the villain of the Sonic series, you must first complete all 5 Grand Prix. Then, after that, you should have 5 mirror Grand Prix available. Complete all of those, and you will unlock Eggman and Expert Mode. Eggman uses unique machinery for his vehicles. Oh, and he's fat. Tee-hee.

Metal Sonic - Metal Sonic was available for free to those who had the bonus or limited edition, but he is now DLC for $3. Personally, I would wait for a sale but he is an awesome character. He is Sonic but, well, metal.

The Yogscast - The Yogscast is another DLC character available for purchase for $5. Added almost a year after the original release of the game, this YouTube icon has an interesting variety of vehicles. If you like the Yogscast and/or the cart, I reccomend picking this one up when you get a chance.

Ryo Hazuki - Ryo Hazuki is yet another DLC character available for purchase for $5. Just recently added a month after The Yogscast, I had actually been anticipating this one for a while. I recommend buying this for a little over a dollar if you like the character.

Back when the game had just come out, fans of the game asked the developers to add in some additional characters later. Sumo said they would try to get in at least 3 that got over 1,000 votes. Those characters are as follows:

Ryo Hazuki (Recently added!)

Hatsune Miku (Canceled, copyright issues.)

Segato Sanshiro

Vectorman

Bayonetta

Ristar

ToeJam and Earl

Personally I hope Bayonetta makes it in.
