To begin with, Anti-Mage aka am, is a very hard carry which needs louds of money to be pwnage. He sucks all of your mana away and owns intel heroes with a large mana pool. His ultimate, Mana Void, takes your missing mana and deals damage according to how much is missing in a small AOE radius. So, he is very very annoying early game with his blink and mana drain ability. Later on, he can suck all of your mana away in literally 5 seconds or less if he is buff enough.
If you have already played agansit a good am, you know what I am mean by this.

Well, if you like farming for almost all the game and owning late game, anti-mage is for you, this is the most basic thing about am. Farm and own. All it is.
If you do not like any of the things in this list(2 or more), do not pick am and stop reading.
1.You farm a ton
2.You need to be ready to move your screen a lot
3. Be a good laster-hitter
4. Be CAREFUL, this is crucial
5. Not good with hard carries
(This means if you are new to the game or you do not know how to help in teamfights)
6. Needs to look at enemie's mana every 10 seconds in teamfights.


Of course you can get better at these skills, this is an excpetion.

EARLY GAME
Early game requires the skill of carefullness, because antimage is very squishy to physical dmg early game, if you have a nuker in your lane, skip boots and get ring FIRST(the 875 gold one). Be sure to get all the last hits, you will need to do this until you get battle fury in mid-game. Do not take large amounts of damage for last hits though, you do NOT want to go home early game or be killed or you will be screwed till mid game.
MID GAME
In mid game, here are the items that are crucial in this period: Battle Fury and Manta Style
Why Manta is good: With illusions, you can burn tons of mana
Why Battle Fury is good: SInce desolater is not good on am, battle fury is a good source of damage and helps you farm and push. If you get ganked, tell your supports to buy wards or jungle!
YOU CAN ALSO GET VLADIMERS! THIS IS VERY USEFUL!!! BELIEVE ME!!!

GAMEPLAY
Anti-mage can save a team and even dominate the whole team 1 on 5 if he is buff enough. The way he works is that he does not intiate, he waits till the battle starts, then he blinks onto the spell casters! Do not focus the other team's carry first. FOCUS SUPPORTS!!!
Steps To RAMPAGE streak:
1. Wait about 1-5 seconds to engage in teamfight
2. Blink onto the supports farthest away from you
3. Kill all supports
4. If you are still alive(probably not)help your team kill the rest of the team
4b.If the other team does not have a carry, go for the weakest one.
You should be owning!
But if you are not buff enough already, get a butterfly and abysall, after this GG.
Team is permastunned. End of story!( Another good late game item is Heart of Tarresque, it gives Anti-Mage some good health and regeneration to live in team battles)
