Introduction
Hello, Im Bennyworld, Thankyou for reading my guide. May I take thhis chance to sya the I AM NO PRO, so, please dont interpret this as the best way to play - these are only my veiws. This guide will take you through the 3 types of game and how to execute them well.
1) The Balanced game
2)The defensive game
3) The Rush game
Thanks again for reading this guide, and I hope it helps newbies and more experienced players alike.
The Balanced Game
This is the most common and easiest way to play airmech. This is when you use a balanced loadout with a misxture of defensive units and attacking units. I reccommend The Longhorn tank, the Jackal, and the T99 as your core units. Of course, as with every Loadout, take the generator and Money Maker as well. The remaining spaces are for you to choose, but, remember you want some cheap infantry unit in there as well.
When you start the game, build a few T99s and longhorns, and place them around your base. Over the cource of the game, you sould slowly add to these defenses. Try to take the middle bases early, and secure them in a similar way. Remember to keep your economy going too! As allways, scout the ememy base, so that you can brace yourself for rushes and see the extent of their defensive - this is the best thing about playing balanced - you can adapt easily to most situations.
Most games when both players are playing either defensive or balanced, will probably end when Goliaths are built , normally in the last Quarter. If you want A game to be quicker than this, use the Rush.
As for shoice of airmech, you are really pretty open. I would reccommend Striker, Neo or Chopper, but others will work just as well. In A balanced game, your gameplay matters alot more than your loadout and airmech choice.
The Defensive Game
This is the tactic in which you defend with all you've got around your base, until about the Third Quarter when you start advancing your units slowly. As for a loadout and airmech, I would reccommend the Osprey or the Chopper, and The Longhorn, T99 and grinder are a must for this tactic. Along with your normal , common sense units ( your MM, Generator and an inf unit). The Grinder is swappable for a peice or artillery - archy is probably best. As with all Loadouts, you may wish to have a goli in there too - for later game.
At the Beggining of the game, use all of your resources to build Economy units and turrets. Continue doing this until half time, when you should advance with heavy-ish units slowly. For this tactic, patience and skill is a must have. When you reach a base or factory, secure it with Grinders and T99s. And then build all other units from there. This tactic may be boring, but, it will get you alot of EXP and KUDOS. This tactic is best used against rushing opponents. Some elements of this tactic can be easily substituted for those of the Balanced game, allowing you to play a balanced-defensive game. However, if you play defensive, it is very hard to switch to a rushing tactic.
Overall, the motto for this tactic is 'Slow and Steady wins the race'
The Rushing Game
This tactic is a haphazard tactic, which will either win you the game early on, or lose the game quickly. For a loadout, possibly use a turret, but geminis and Jackals are probably the most important. The rest of the units should be common sense units. Neo and chopper are the best airmechs for this tactic.
When the game starts, don't bother with defenses - maybe a couple of longhorns - but thats all. Build a mix of geminis and Jackals and place the near your base. Keep building this swarm up until about half time, when you start to order them, all at once, to attack the Enemy base. The link feature can be very useful. The quick units will ignore all othe bases until they reach the enemies fortress. However, you just have to hope and pray that they get there.
For this tactic, YOU MUST SCOUT - if you dont you could send your entire army to their quick death. If your opponent is also rushing, MAKE SURE YOU RUSH BEFORE HIM, and if he's playing defensive - DONT RUSH AT ALL, in these cases, it is better to switch to rush-balanced tactics.
Rushing is a tactic best used by experienced rushing players against noobs, who play neither Balanced, Rushed or Defensive. However, it can also be applied against pros, after you have weakened their defenses with stronger units.
Overall, this is one of the most luck-based tactics in airmech, and you must learn how to adapt your tactics to the situation that you are in.
Bye!
Bye-Bye
Thankyou for reading this through to the end, I will add videos and screenshots when I have some that I think are good enough, or, you could send them to me, and I would be happy to credit you with a link to your channel.
Thanks again

This is a good guide, but what I think would be more helpful is adding in how to counter the different strategies. Like, if someone tries to rush me, how do I counter them?

this is a great guide for those who'd want to use these tactics and would surely help master them
although for me it doesn't really fit my play style(i like capturing the 3rd from the start and building a massive army before attacking the rest)but it will help if i chose to use one of the 3 tactics so thanks

i am a paladin main
i would like to add paladins to the defensive tactic section.
paladin is a sorta unique class, it can soak up a crap load of damage, has indiana jones hammer, and most of all his shield.
since the shield can be sorta op, we clas use the tank n' spank strategy.
that means to let ur paladin 'tank' all the shots the enemy gives u and let ur smaller troops hid behind u and cower.
