Go to Library>Games>Garry's Mod
Step 2
Right click Garry's Mod, then click properties.
Step 3
The go to set launch options. For 1080 p, write "-w 1920 -h 1080" (without quotes but with the spaces).
Done !
It should work. For other resolutions, see resolutions[en.wikipedia.org]. Write next to -w the width, and next to -h the height.
