1. Introduction and why farm War parts
First off major spoilers if you have not completed the quest The Second Dream. Turn back now! You have been warned.

Now that that is taken care of, why farm War parts from the sentients? This is a question I have been asked a lot by players in random public matches because TSD already gives you a Broken War at the end of the quest which can then be used to craft War.

But if you are like me, then you understand that the free Broken War you get already has an Orokin Catalyst installed (20p!) and if you want to own both Broken War and War, you have to either buy the Hunhow's Gift bundle (516p!) or farm sentients to craft another Broken War in order to craft War (yes very confusing, I know).

The parts, while named as War Blade and War Hilt, are actually used to craft Broken War. Vengeful Revenant is also a rare sword stance mod that you can get via this farming. All of these drop from sentient Conculysts[warframe.wikia.com].

Keep in mind you need 2 War Blades and 1 War Hilt.

Would have looked better if I actually had War parts but whatever.
2. The tools
First and foremost you need access to Plato, Lua.

If you got this far and are wondering why you do not have access to Lua, then you probably did not heed the spoiler warning at the very start.

Ivara Build:

Non primed mods are also fine.

Soma Prime Build:

To be honest you do not need a 5 forma Soma Prime, just about any primary rifle will do. Ivara's 4, Artemis Bow, is affected by primary weapon mods, except shotguns. We will need Ivara's 4 to take down sentients quickly. So you need to put as much damage on it as possible.
3. The actual guide
We need four Ivaras because each Ivara will pickpocket a Conculyst in Prowl once leading to four loot drops plus an additional fifth drop when the Conculyst is killed.

Sentients spawn as (a+1), where 'a' is the number of players in the squad so max spawns will always be 5. Conculysts themselves may spawn anywhere between 1 and (a+1).

With a party of four Ivaras, if 'b' number of Conculysts spawn then you can loot them a total of (5xb) times. To be honest, Conculysts spawn a lot less frequently than Battalysts so don't expect to see 5 Conculysts often.

Go to recruit chat and recruit a party of four Ivaras using:
H > [Vengeful Revenant] farm! Ivaras needed: X

Where X is the number of Ivaras missing from the squad.

Once you get a party of four ready, make sure session is set to "Invite Only" and start the Plato mission on Lua. "Invite Only" helps avoid random people and also allows for fast aborts for the whole team if no Conculysts spawn or if the mission bugs out.

  • 1. The whole team stays at mission start

At this point use Zenurik to genereate some energy or drop energy pads.

Once the screen flashes and the Lotus announces the Oculysts, check the mini-map. Once the Oculysts start scanning enemies, a blue dot appears on that enemy.

If you do not see a blue dot on the mini-map, then Oculsysts likely did not spawn, in which case it is faster to abort and start over than look for them.

If the blue dot appears it is a sure indication of Oculyst spawn. They will always spawn in the closest tile with enemies. The host then runs to them while the rest of the team stays behind. The host shoots any Oculyst and quickly runs back to the waiting team.

  • 2. Everybody enters Ivara's Prowl and waits for sentients
Once the host gets back to the team, everybody enters Prowl. I cannot stress enough how important this is. If at any point any player is not in prowl and gets detected by any sentient, the whole team will get butchered quickly.

If no Conculysts spawn, then abort and start over. Pickpocket each Conculyst and just say "done" over chat. Once you get four dones, then just kill the sentients using Ivara's 4, Artemis Bow.

With the Soma build above, it takes 3 shots to kill each one (but only really need as much damage as possible and Operator's void beam strips their resistances as well). You need to watch out for Battalysts when they start their disco ball attack, just get as far as possible.

  • 3. The abort or finish the mission dilemma
Now that you pickpocket each Conculyst and cursed at your luck for not getting Vengeful Revenant nor any War part, rejoice in the number of neurodes you got:

This is just from two sentients, a squad of four can get 7-16 neurodes in a single run, without a resource booster mind you. With four Ivaras, the exterminate mission runs pretty quickly so I recommend finishing it.

Just look at all the neurodes I have now:

  • 4. Repeat the mission 50-100 times in order to get all the War parts and the mod
I kid you not, Vengeful Revenant and War parts farm is THE most time consuming farm in the entire game. It took me a solid 3 months to get everything, running this Ivara farm method every 3-4 days.

The Official Drop Tables[n8k6e2y6.ssl.hwcdn.net] state the drop rate for Vengeful Revenant at a calculated 0.00417% for each Conculyst looted/killed (if my math is correct). The War Hilt and War Blade drop rates aren't even listed.

4. Bonus section! Farming Stalker for Broken War BP
No there is no such thing as farming Stalker[warframe.wikia.com]. You just fight him and curse at him for not dropping the Broken War BP for months and months.

At 1,237 hours of in-mission time, the only Stalker drop I am missing is Scimitar Engines. I refuse to believe people have not gotten Hate and Dread and other BPs despite having been playing for 2+ years. If so they did not play correctly.

The only way to increase Stalker encounter is to have a Stalker mark on yourself by assassinating a boss on any planet. Having a Stalker mark gives you a 2% chance of spawning the Stalker in a mission. Having another player in your squad with a Stalker mark gives an additional +0.5% spawn chance.

So to get more Stalker encounters you need to always have a Stalker mark on you. Every time you don't have a Stalker mark, just kill this guy:

There have hardly been days when I did not encounter the Stalker while having a Stalker mark. So just hang in there, you'll get them drops eventually.
5. The end
You are now equipped with the information needed to easy your sentient farming (somewhat). I wish you the best of luck in your travels Tenno!

I have contemplated why Stalker's weapon BPs are not tradeable. Hell, War parts are tradeable and yet Broken War BP isn't, which isn't really useful since all of them have such low drop chances, that there is no trade market for War parts and prices are abysmally low (despite the very rare drop chances).

Same is true for the G3 and Zanuka weapons. While I was able to get the Brakk during LoR runs, the Detron eluded me until Baro came by recently with beacons. Stalker Beacons aren't even useful due to his larger drop tables.

The assassin weapons seem to be a remnants of an old weapon locking system that hasn't been looked at in a while. And as you said being able to trade 'em isntantly solves the entire issue.

@TimelessLegend
Random seeding works much like speculative execution, especially when you use a defined or predictable starting point like a set integer or os.time() (which is one of the worst ways to start RNG and we both know it) and how well did that work out so far? Righty-o, then.

I haven't run out of a Stalker mark even once in the last 2 years. As far as Stalker goes, I've run with stalker marks on me for weeks and never seen him appear once and had other nights, like this past Sunday, for instance, where he spawned on me 7 times in a four hour solo session... and still only got Dread out of it. No, no, no... the better solution is to make his BP drops tradeable as well as the crafting components for Broken War. That very elegantly solves the problem for everyone. So, rather sit here and take swipes at one another, we should probably combine forces and petition DE to start doing smart things and stop doing stupid things.

You mean RNG that is not really coded but comes with it's own randomness based on garbage collection? Since the game uses LUA, the likely use random seeding based on os.time() cause that is what I used to do but anyway, what the hell do I know.

At anyrate, it's not arrogance but experience. Do an assassination as your first mission of the day solo and the Stalker is bound to show up in the next few games. Always have a mark on you at all times. Go kill a boss immediately when u lose a mark. 4 Hate BPs, 3 Despair BPs, 2 Broken War BPs, 5 War BPs and 31 Dread BPs are not arrogance, just experience. I am still missing Scimitar Engines drop so what do I have to be arrogant for anyway.

@Desserten
Thanks for the info on Smeeta buffs did not know about that. As for beacons, the Shadow Stalker's drop table is huge and beacons cost a lot of ducats so it really isn't for everyone. Nor is it very realiable dur to the low drop % for most parts.

@GTB79
Do any assassination as the first mission solo when you play after loging in and then play your normal routine.

You can believe whatever the hell you want to believe, but I've been playing this shit since CB1 and have hundreds of kills on the Stalker and have yet to get a Hate or Despair BP. It's called RNG and it's not really random at all (if you'd ever programmed a random number generator, you'd know this), so it is entirely possible to get completely hosed. Stop being an arrogant ass.

Ive been hunted for a month havent seen him,

I've found that the infested invasion where you kill Phorid is great for getting his attention.

Also you forgot to mention that you can buy Stalker beacon (also zanuka and the 3 numbnuts) from Baro Ki'teer if he has it in stock. While it's not a here and now way, it's a great farm when he got them

If you bring smeeta kavats with charm, they can give you a random buff every 27 sec. one of them is double pickup and affinity, which can very much come in handy for the parts (don't work on mods) - And if you're unlucky it could be crit dmg, or a rare resource. In any case, smeeta is great for this

To my recollection if you are the runningman and you're good up in the zenurik and naramon waybound path, you can do it as operator (you can without, but the speed and energy regen helps) when you've get the que that you've been spottet you can quickly kill yourself (jump off the map, or die to enemies if possible) to get spawned back at start, which should make them spawn at that location

@TimelessLegend I know what it feels like to farm that stuff. I gave up a long time ago, and it's like 50plat per part. Good on you for farming it. I'm probably just gonna buy it tho

Well... Kudos to your mental stamina and fortitude for farming it yourself like this ;)
