Good guide. Now let me tell you WHY you need to upgrade your parish.
Think of your parish as part of your own village extra research tree.
The buildings in your parish add bonus production to your village production.
So if you help grow your parish wood production building it will increase all of your own wood cutters in your village etc. Same goes for everything else.
For those of you new to the game you need a certain amount of goods to make up a "Packet".
For example you need 500 apples to make up 1 "Packet" not just 1 apple.
To complete your quests you need to send enough goods to make up at least 1 packet of goods to get credit for completing that.

Also, if you are lucky enough to be in a good county on the map and help grow your Parish part of the Parish duty is to go wipe out wolf lairs and enemy castles in your area to help get rid of those negative numbers on your own village popularity.

If you donate, you upgrade the guilds and the players that have their villages in that parish get extra production of apples, chees, stone, wood, weapons, depending on what guilds do you have. The more you donate to a guild, the bigger will be the production of your goods.
