Get ready for VR
TPS is a great design studio for making Theme Parks.

I won;t go into how to build rides, as there are plenty of guides out there that you can find, However there is minimal info on how to get VR working, and how to play your own parks (we'll cover that in a moment).

So First off, how do you set up TPS so you can use your VR headset (HMD).

the following was taken from the Themeparkstudio.com website forums:

Try this:
Vive and Oculus are now fully integrated, you don't need to be part of the VR beta to play.

1: Turn on SteamVR
2: Make sure theatre mode is uncheck for Theme Park Studio (right click on Theme Park Studio and select "properties", then make sure its unticked)
3: Launch Theme Park Studio
4: If you are facing forward with your HMD on, there is nothing more to do. If not, when the park launches, press ‘C’ on the keyboard, or “Home” on Vive to re-center/orient the camera

Use your Keyboard, Xbox controller, or Vive to navigate.

Note.....You may now press ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘3,’ or ‘4’ to warp to the ride seat, with the ride/coaster reset and ready to go.

Play your own Parks and Rides
This is the part that was killing me, trying to work out how to play custom parks.

Kindly Steve, from the TPS team informed me what i needed to do, So i'm passing this golden knowledge to anyone else who needs to know (as there isn;t a lot of documentation on this is seems).

Firstly, You will find that a lot of the parks in the workshop don't seem to work in TPS. Dont let this put you off. I'm not sure why they don't work, Maybe built in a different version of the latest release. I tried subscribing to loads of other peoples parks, and nothing showed under the "workshop" parks in VR.

In short:

There are 2 filters for running parks

1) VR ready. These are selected parks. They are pre-screened and once approved will appear in VR Ready. The reason is, anyone can build any park of any size and upload it to workshop. Some may not but suitable for VR. VR Ready parks are approved and suited for VR.

2) Subscribed. For this option you do not need to have anything approved. This can be used for your own testing. You probably see white because you have not subscribed to any park yet. To use this, simply build your coaster in TPS, upload it as a park (not as custom scenery). Go into Steam Workshop and subscribe to it. After that you will see it in your flip book.

So taking the above into account, you may find that some workshop parks will not work for you, But if you create a park, save it, then publish it to the workshop, Then subscribe to your own park. It appears in the list of parks to play!
