To install the RWBY voice replaces please follow these instrunctions:
• 1. Set your game to english language
• 2. After steam finished the vpk download start l4d2 once and wait for workshop copy process to finish
• 3. Go to your l4d2 folder ...Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop
Extract the VPK's (name see start of this page) with GCFScape

• 4. You get 2-3 of the following folders

left4dead2_dlc1
left4dead2_dlc2
left4dead2_dcl3
• 5. Do this for all the voicereplaces you want (i think all 9 will be the reasonable choice ;-)
• 6. Copy these folders into your l4d2 main folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2), override the orignial files
• 7. Start L4D2
• 8. Open console (e.g. write "-console" without quotes in the start option of l4d2)
• 9. Type "snd_rebuildaudiocache" without quotes and press enter
This will take ~5 minutes while your game wont respond
• 10. To quit your game type "quit" or "exit" in the console



I recommend to make a backup of your original files.
Fast and easy way is to zip these folders:

left4dead2_dlc1
left4dead2_dlc2
left4dead2_dcl3



To uninstall the mod overwrite the voice-replace files with the backupd original ones (+ snd_rebuildaudiocache) or verify the integrity of the game files via steam.



• This collection is intended to be used with the RWBY & JNPR Character replacements from JazzMcNade on the steam workshop.

• This collection works for all official DLC and campaigns
• After correct installation feel free to unsub the collection to free space on your drive. The voicereplace will still work.
• Currently i have no time to upgrade the collection in recent future, except valve updates l4d2 soundfiles again.



• What's a VPK?
→ A VPK (Valve Pak file) is the steam version of a .zip or .rar
• Why is this installation more complex as usual?
→ The mod overwrite not just one but multiple main folders to work with all campaigns
• Why two workshopfiles for Nora?
→ Because she loves talking ;-) (I found more usable voicelines for her as for the others so it became to big for one file)
• Why english?
→ Because the amount and location of the voicefiles is unfortunately not the same for all languages
• Is it possible to change the voicereplaces with other characters
→ It's not, at least not without some hours of work on your side. Every single voiceline is a single file. These files are partially unique in name and number for every survivor. E.g. All survivor have files to call attention for a special one, but Zoey has no voice file to welcome Zoey ;-)
