A complex figure to say the least, the D-Man, Daunte Thomas grew up in a nice neighborhood in Brooklyn. He ended up earning an MBA and had a physique that was the envy of professional bodybuilders. At the same time, he sought out danger like few others, most notably in a highly illegal underground fight league. He was rumored to have thrown his promoter out of a third story window in a dispute and left town for Chicago.

Once in the Windy City, Thomas sought out more opportunities to fight, and this time, went into pro wrestling to do so. He ended up tag teaming with former NFL player Freight Train McMichaelson, forming the D-Train, and later on, with Mr. Moonsault, the D-Team.

Charismatic and hard hitting, Thomas took a leadership role in the stable, feared in the locker room for his loose fuze and penchant for meanspirited practical jokes, and loved by management for his practical mind and marketing skills.
