Dragon Tech Industries Presents...

Liger Zero

A fully functional quad-pedal mech, the Liger Zero is an excellent demonstration of the power of DTI's signature Mech Driver (MkII) Script.

Features
  1. Stylish. Bit Cloud would be proud.
  2. Well-Behaved. Unlike the original model, this Liger Zero will let you pilot it without any fuss!
  3. Familiar Interface. Utilizes natural ship-like controls (WSAD and arrow keys).
  4. Pilot/Passenger Cabin. Equipped with seating and cargo room for 5.
  5. Faster than your average mech. This Mech will run at speeds up to 50m/s (on flat ground)!

RC/Cockpit Hotbar Setup

    1. Stand. Returns your mech to a standing position. Due to lack of rotor strength, it may need a little thruster help from the pilot.
    2. Walk. Tells the mech to walk. Requires no further input, the mech will continue walking and eventually run until a Stand command (1) is used.
    3. Toggle Run. Toggles on/off Run mode. Mech will build up speed naturally, use this once speed is high enough to increase stepping pace.
    4. Neck Rotor Lock On/Off. Locks/Unlocks the neck's vertical rotor.
    5. Increase Forward Thruster Override. Likely won't be used, but shows the pilot the current override being used by the script.
    6. Decrease Forward Thruster Override. See Previous.
    7. Unused
    8. Watch. Tells mech to listen for WSAD commands for control (W to walk, S to reverse).
    9. Unwatch. Tells the mech to stop listening for WSAD commands.

    1. Cabin Door. Open/Close cabin door.
    2. Unused
    3. Unused
    4. Unused
    5. Unused
    6. Unused
    7. Unused
    8. Unused
    9. Reset. Reset script. Attempts to clear out any functional problems the script may have encountered.

Note: Though the head cockpit seems like a natural control point, it is more for show and cannot control turning gyros (because they are on different grids). For true control the mech must be controlled by the RC (from the cabin). The group **Control** in the top of the control panel is all you need :).

Script Features Utilized
Full descriptions of these can be found here
  1. A/B configuration. Front Left and Back Right legs share a step, Front Right and Back Left share a step.
  2. Commands Utilized: Stand, Walk, Watch, and Unwatch.. Use watch/unwatch for WSAD control or Walk command for automated/continual running. Stand when your ready to "park".
  3. Thruster Override. The mech's thrusters will automatically override while running or reversing.
  4. Run Toggle. The mech can quicken it's pace with a simple Run toggle.
  5. Status Monitoring. Panels are provided throughout the mech for easy monitoring of script output.

Known Issues
  1. Too Heavy. Due to weight and subgrids, this mech can only be used in creative with block damage off.
  2. Unarmed/Incomplete. In an attempt to follow the original model I did not want to just slap the average rockets/gatlings on it, but I have not quite figured out the tail. I am hoping for a bit of help from fellow engineers on that one! I have tried chained rotors, but even with an RC + Gyros at the end it was very hard to control (and eventually got too heavy w/ weapons).
  3. Requires balancing at high speeds. As your speed goes over ~25 m/s you may notice the legs begin to catch on the ground at times. It may help to use the arrow keys (like UP) to keep the mech balanced while running.
  4. Battery LCDs is incomplete. I could not get the script to load into my list, but the panels and PB are in the cabin for those who want to utilize it (or any other scripts for that matter).

@bmann7728 if you can set up a standard auto-reloading missile launcher, it would have stock Liger Zero comabt effectiveness, although the actual stock dual shock cannosn on liger Zero are is a DUal 280mm SHock Cannon, which is a particle blast, not a physical weapon.

hmm...25m/s is slow for Liger Zero. Gotta try and bump that max speed to 85...I think onyl way to achieve that would be total conversion to lqrge or small grid. Also is she 1/1scale?

Question. Can I make it combat effective?
