Welcome to my achievement guide! Before we get started I want to explain the game's modes shortly and the objective in each one of them. I'll only be talking about modes that have achievements attached, so I won't talk about Serpent mode.



Collider has 6 game modes, in which 5 of them have achievements to get, the modes are:
Acrobat - Dodge all the enemy balls for as many waves as possible
Arc Wars - PvP style mode where you can battle with bots as well
Compression - Work as a team to try and keep the circle open, preventing it from crushing you
Core Defense - Protect the center of the circle by building a fortress around it, it's a one hit kill!
Serpent - Snake-like mode where you catch body parts and try to trap other players in.
Sumo - Human players only mode where you have to push the other players' token outside the area.

Some of the achievements work on all modes, while others will be mode specific, this will be explained in each achievement section. Another huge tip I can give already is that bots count as players in this game, so it will be a huge help in achievements like That's a Paddling if you don't have 8 controllers like me. Also worth a mention that bots will indeed help with others achievements. With this said, let's get started!

Get 20 close calls in Acrobat


A close call is when you get close to an enemy ball and almost lose, you'll get a +10 popup when you trigger one so it's easy to count your progress.


Survive 30 waves in Acrobat


Personally, I consider this to be the hardest achievement in the game, Acrobat gets hard on +20 waves because of the Seekers, and bots won't survive for long in this mode, so it's all up to training and keeping your movements clockwise around the circle to evade the seekers.


You flew right into the center circle and killed yourself in Acrobat before the first wave starts

Simple as it sounds, start an acrobat game and go straight into the center to hit a ball.

Kill everyone in an 8 Player round of Arc Wars


I have spent most of my playtime trying to get 8 emulated players into the game, but I don't think that's possible for me because of XInput restrictions, so I did it my way! For this you need vJoy[vjoystick.sourceforge.net] and Universal Control Remapper[autohotkey.com]. You can easily emulate 4 xbox controllers on your computer and bind keyboard keys to insert them in the game. So the way I got this was to use the bots to my advantage.

It's preferable you uninstall controller related drivers to do this like ScpToolkit. You need to install vJoy and reboot your computer if it asks for it. Then open UCR and set it up like I did, hopefully you'll get the controllers in the game when you press the bindings!

1. Open UCR
2. Check IOClasses > vJoy and clck " Install SCPVBus"
3. Click SuperGlobal
4. On Plugin Selection select Remapper (Buttons to Axis) and configure it like I did
5. If you hear the device connected sound from Windows you're going perfectly since it's emulating the controllers.
5. Repeat step 3 until you have 4 controllers and set them up like this:



Basically when you launch the game and press Numpad 7, 4, 8 and 1, you should add 4 players into the game. Add your keyboard and you have 5, so that leaves 3 bots. The tricky part is getting a bot to kill the remaining two, but that's up to rng... basically being lucky. So my 4 controllers basically idled the game and let the same bot kill them all, while I tried to defend myself playing on the keyboard so the other bot wouldn't kill me. The same bot had to get the 7 kills otherwise it wouldn't work. So I finally got the perfect run where the brown bot killed all my controllers, the 2 other bots and finally me!



Of course the correct way to do this is to get at least 7 controllers and connect them all, if you run into problems with +7 controllers connected do check this thread to fix the issues

Use a blast shield to wipe out 100 enemies in the center ring in Compression


The blast shield will destroy enemies around you when you get hit, so it's easy to do if you get swarmed, it was my very first achievement so it shouldn't be too hard to get.


Survive 40 waves in Compression


I advise using bots to help you on Compression, and if you die you can just stop the ending timer and wait until the bots reach wave 40 in case you die.


Don't shoot in compression and still survive 20 Waves


If you've trained a bit in Acrobat this shouldn't be too hard, just play like you're playing Acrobat and you should reach wave 20 in a short while.


Survive until you are squashed by the walls in Compression


This one will most likely unlock with normal play, as I explained earlier the walls in Compression, like the name says, will compress and shorten your circle area, just don't pick up the Decompress powerup and it should be another easy one.

You collect 15 nodes too far away from the core in one round in Core Defense


Core Defense is a mode where you're supposed to pick up the powerups close to the center to build a fortress, so pick them up right after they reach the playing area to get this one.


You let the first red enemy in Core Defense kill your core


BROKEN ON THE CURRENT BUILD
After trying many times, this achievement was not unlocking for me, so I downloaded a depot and it worked right away. It's easy as it sounds, let the very first red enemy kill your core. So how do we get this achievement? Steam depots!

1. Unlock the Steam console by pasting this on your browser:
2. On the Steam client console paste this and press enter:
3. The depot will be located in Steam\steamapps\content\app_371880\depot_371881
4. Copy collider.love to the Collider folder and overwrite the existing file.
5. Launch the game through Steam and retry the achievement now.



Build over 40 nodes in Core Defense



Build over 60 nodes in Core Defense


This might seem hard at first but when you start expanding your fortress it will be very easy to reach 60 nodes, I don't think it has to be 60 ACTIVE nodes in-game, but 60 nodes that you have built total in your current game (since they can be destroyed).

You push all opponents out of the ring in Sumo


I can't test this achievement since it's an only human mode and looking at the code it requires 8 players, which means at least 7 controllers which I don't have. It is never specified this is a requirement but looking at the game code says otherwise. All I can say is that it does not work with pushing 4 tokens out of the ring as I tested.

Update: July 14th 2019 - The achievement works as suspected, 8 players are needed.

Everyone dies at the same time


Recommended Mode: Acrobat
How to: Start an acrobat game with 8 bots, fly into the center of the circle and die, then immediately press Escape to kill all bots to unlock the achievement.


You got caught by a seeker


Recommended Mode: Acrobat
These enemies spawn early on the Acrobat games, they'll stand out from the rest of the enemies for having a homing-like behaviour and following you around, so just run into one of them to get this.


Shoot 2000 bullets in a round


Recommended Mode: Sumo
Just stand and shoot 2000 bullets in Sumo mode, where the only way you can die is by pushing the token outside the ring.

Traveling over 9000 pixels in any Round


Currently Broken (I think)
I've tried to do this achievement countless times on every available version of the game, but I had no luck in any of them. I also don't know how much is 9000 pixels so there's no way to know if I'm going over the requirement or not. This seems to be the only really broken achievement in the game.
