What the cluck is going on?
Assume the role of a plucky champion venturing forth into the wilds of Beaks World, to discover where all these koo-koo invaders are coming from. Then, presumably, blast the threat into nuggets.

You spawn in hand-crafted, but randomly chosen cozy little rooms. The goal is to eliminate all the enemies to open the door to the next room, and eventually fight a Boss to advance to the next world area. Easier cawed than done!

There can be multiple doors in a room, you choose whether to progress or take a quick detour.

Gamepedia
The devs have started a wiki for the game with lots of useful info already on display:

https://blazingbeaks.gamepedia.com/Blazing_Beaks_Wiki
Plucky Heroes
Peck your character from a flock of five, each with their own quacks- I mean quirks.

Chicken
•Starts with 3/4 Hearts
•Default Weapon: Swift
•Shoots innacurately while running
•Has +80% weapon range
•Enemies will sometimes display a red "X" over their heads. You can kill these marked enemies with one shot.

Bluejay
•Starts with 3/3 Hearts
•Default Weapon: Pistol
•Taking damage while having 1 HP left decreases max HP instead.
•Entering a Boss level refills health, converting every 5 coins to 1 HP.

Mallard
(That's the duck...learn your fowl!)
•Starts with 4/4 Hearts
•Default Weapon: Drizzler
•Has -50% weapon range
•Not shooting for 1 second reloads weapon for next shot 3 times faster.

Platypus
•Starts with 2/4 Hearts
•Starts with 1 Key
•Default Weapon: Pistol Spec 2
•Enemies will sometimes display a Key or Coin icon over their heads, kill them quickly to make them drop the corresponding item. (You must kill them, not your co-op partner.)

Parrot
•Starts with 3/3 Hearts
•Default Weapon: Teeny Tiny Laser Gun
•Has 40% faster cooldown time for active abilities
•Has -70% coin drop possibility
•Dealing damage to enemies reduces their walking speed for 2 seconds.
Rapping on Chamber Doors
Who's the loon that put all these doors in the wild?

Exit
The most basic in chamber-sealing technologies, this door allows you to exit the current level once all enemies are defeated.

Open Door
When a door isn't locked or closed, it becomes...open! Amazing! An inviting green light emits from opened doors.

Locked Door
Sometimes those invaders go the extra mile to be a nuisance and lock doors. Or maybe they just want to keep you out of their underwear drawer. In any case, you'll need a Key to open these.

Shop
A shop where kooky birds congregate and sell their wares. Mystic Crow, Gunny, and the slacker Penguin can be found here.

Boss
Leads to the area's Boss. You can skip this door when possible, but the Boss fight will be tougher when you're eventually forced to enter it. The amount of skulls displayed next to the Boss's name indicates the difficulty level (rises up to 3 skulls max).

Secret Door
Sometimes a small blue light will intermittently appear next to a destructible wall, go smash it! Riches, death, or fluffy chicks await on the other side! Secret Doors can only be opened while the blue light is visible.
Pick-Ups, Let-Downs and Other Birbs
Keys, Coins and Hearts
These can drop from defeated enemies. Use Coins to buy guns in the Shop, Keys to open Locked Doors, and devour Hearts to feast upon the souls of the dead (and recover 1 Heart).

Chests
No flimsy locks are going to stop these determined peckers! There's no need to use a Key to open these.

Mystic Crow
Located in the Shop, gives you random Items in exchange for Artifacts. When trading, you will always get at least as many helpful Items as the amount of Artifacts you offered. Sometimes he'll give you even more because he's a swell fellow.

Gunny the Eagle
Also located in the Shop, Gunny believes all peeps should be equal through the power of firearms. The more expensive a gun is, the more equality it brings! She only takes Coins as payment for her guns. (Guns can also be acquired by other means though.)

The Chill Penguin
There's a lazy Penguin lounging around in the Shop that will have cryogenically frozen your dead friend until you give him one or two Hearts to bring them back to life. That Penguin is, like, the world's most chill Necromancer/ambulance chaser.

You must have at least 2 Hearts to revive them and sacrifice the required amount. (Unfortunately you can't share one Heart like some kind of gross romantic Frankenstein bird.)
Artifacts
As a final act of spite, enemies will sometimes drop cursed Artifacts. Carrying even just one of these is enough to ruffle anyone's feathers, but they can be exchanged for helpful Items at Shops.

Normal enemies can only drop random Artifacts, while Bosses can drop random Artifacts and/or Items.

These are the creeps you'll encounter as you migrate ever closer to the source of the infestation. Note that I'm simply a player making a guide, any descriptions I write here are for fun and may not necessarily reflect the developers' intended story/canon.

how did you manage to get the sprites for each item and enemy?
MechaTails  [author] 11 Sep, 2018 @ 1:22am
I should note that this guide hasn't been updated with all the items and monsters, it's very time consuming. However I think there's enough useful and relevant info to keep it up.
