Introduction
ARK -the lost fairytale- is a lovely RPG-Maker game featuring 11 Steam achievements.

Notes
  • This guide contains major spoilers which are not marked.
  • You can always start the game in fullscreen after pressing F1 and enabling the feature.
The Beginning
Start a new game and read the letter.

Controls:

Move - Arrow Keys
Run - Shift
Fullscreen - F5
Confirm/Enquire - Z (or Enter/Space)
Cancel/Menu - X (or Esc)

  • Go right, talk to the bunny and save.
  • Cross the road and take care of the cars.
  • Follow the floor and beware of the traps.
  • Enter the garden and interact with another bunny.
  • Go right and squeeze through the bushes as well as the hole in the wall.

Welcome to my garden Enter the Twilight Garden.
The Twilight Garden
  • Go up twice, take the axe and walk to the left three times.
  • Solve the chess "riddle":

    1. Talk to the dark king.
    2. Choose: "Let me think"
    3. Talk to the white king and smite him with the axe.
    4. Interact with the dark king and receive Solomon's ring.

  • Go right and talk to the cat, give her a cookie.
  • Head back to the cabin and take the key. Enter the cabin.
  • Take the rusty saw which is in the upper left corner behind some boxes.
  • Read all available books: "Little Red Riding Hood", "The White Snake", "The Three Little Pigs", "The Twelve Brothers. Part 1" and take the book about fairytales.
  • Go back to the entry of Twilight Garden, go left and pick the lily flower.
  • Head back to the chicken. Talk to it and take out the black stone.

Famous doctor Cure Mr. Rooster's cough.

  • Go to the place where you found the lily flower and walk to the left.
  • Burn down the thorny brambles and save.
  • Go down and avoid the girl. Read the "Table Etiquette"
  • Continue your journey and take a seat on the lower right of the table.
  • Get the coin and break the pocket watch.

Miss Etiquette Show good table manners.

  • Take a piece of meat from the table and go down.
  • Save, survive the maze and talk to the boy.

Two is always better than one Meet new friends.

  • Take can of oil, head back to the table and go to the north.
  • Talk to the knight and give him some oil. He will give you an iron key.
  • Go back to the scene with the girl who tries catching you and pass the gate to the left.
  • Try hiding inside the second house.
  • As soon as your persecutor enters the house - run to the left, through the bed and escape.
  • Hide inside the left house and read the robot book.
  • Try leaving the house and hide yourself in the cabinet.
  • Enter the second house again, read the note on the floor and interact with the whines.
  • Note the stones laying on the ground:



  • Go through the wall next to the stones and take the brain.

The second pig's whereabouts But, where did he go...?

  • Leave the area by going to the west.
  • Throw the meat to the dog.
  • You will encounter a locked gate. Open it with the iron key. Pass it.
  • Read the note and go to the east.
  • Enter the cabin and take a pair of red shoes. Leave the house and do NOT talk to the wolf!
  • Go north, talk to the hunter and enter the cabin again.
  • Leave and run to the left until the wolf falls into a well.
  • Continue walking to the left and hide!
  • Interact with the statue and look at the bottom left grave.
  • Move it to the cherry blossom tree and climb it.

Horticulturist Let's enjoy the cherry blossoms in full-bloom.
The Mansion
  • Read the diaries with a red, pink, musical note and crying face cover.
  • Leave the room and read the second part of the book with a red cover. Go to the right.
  • Read the book with a blue cover and go south.
  • Go to the left and enter the Music Room.
  • Read "Bluebeard's Castle" and the left note on the wall.
  • Interact with the music stand and with the middle of the top of the piano OR with a stool.
  • Go out and down. Enter the room by using the smiling key.
  • Read the second part of the diary with a pink cover. Leave the room and go to the left.
  • Read the second part of the diary with a blue cover as well as the note stuck on a hand.
  • Avoid the man and open the cupboard which is in the upper left corner.
  • Leave the prison and go back to the room you have opened with the smiling key.
  • Visit the Library that is north in the mansion.
  • Read "The Rose of the Sahara", "The Cause of Mental Disorder", "The Story of a Little Girl", "The Metaphysical World", "Rapunzel" and "Classical House Design". Do NOT read the sparkling book which is on the lower right.
  • Save and read the mentioned sparkling book - it is "The Monster in the Gap". Escape!
  • There is a spot with blood in the entry area of the mansion. Look at the wall.
  • Read "Crows Fetching Water" and the third part of the diary with a red cover.
  • Save. Interact with the fountain, throw a coin in it and get the bluebird as well as the key. *

Bluebird When a bluebird is happy, it'll fly away when you're not paying attention to it.

  • Interact with the sign next to the tower (left one) and tie the hair to the water wheel.
  • Get some hair.
  • Enter the mansion and go to the right.
  • There is a kitchen door in the Dining Room. Open it and take the knife.
  • Hang the hair down the well - the one the wolf fell. Cut the stomach open. **
  • Throw the stone down the other well - the one in the mansion's garden. **
  • Head back to the Smiling Room and look at the painting.
  • Speak with the knight and interact with the cloud.
  • Leave the room again and go to the right twice.
  • Take a jigsaw apple and interact with the painting again.
  • Take the apple and give it to the knight. Speak with the second one.
  • You can find the spear in the mansion's main floor.
  • The third one demands a gallbladder. Enter the dining room and go to the kitchen.
  • Take the jigsaw gallbladder.
  • Give the gallbladder to your friend, let the knight fight the monster and continue.
  • Head back to the Dining Room and interact with the huge clock.
  • Take the pieces and attach them to the painting. Rotate them.
  • Go to the Spinning Room. Read "The Twelve Brothers. Part 2".
  • Leave and go to the room with the big red teddy. Hug him/her.
  • Leave and re-enter it. Interact with a part of the bear.

Don't cry, for your tears are made of pearls Do not drop a tear, even if the bear is torn to pieces.

  • Go to the Empty Bridge. It is to the right of the Library.
  • Give the brain to the scarecrow and enter the Tower.

*If you take the red key instead, you will be able to enter the big tower instantly. In this case, jump to the last point of "The Tower" and continue the story without your friend. This will unlock Ending 01.

**If you enter the mansion, walk to the entrance of the Library and enter the Empty Bridge instead you will unlock Ending 02. Just speak with the scarecrow, give it the brain and skip to "The Tower".
The Tower
  • Go upstairs. '9' must be above 'N', and 'E' next to the sun.
  • Enter the next room and look at the canvas.

Reliable brother Meet my reliable brother.

  • Read the third part of the book with a crying face on its cover. Leave.
  • '6' must be above 'W' and 'S' next to the moon.
  • Enter the next room and read the third part of the diary with a blue cover. Leave.
  • '3' must be above 'N' and 'E' next to the sun. Enter the next room and leave.
  • Go downstairs - three times.
  • Read the second part of the book with a crying face on it. Leave to the left.
The Hospital
  • Save and read the heavy book. Go to the left, up and visit OR1. Read both notes.
  • Enter OR2 and speak to the burning man. Take the detergent and rag.
  • Cover the man with clothes. Leave.
  • Go east and proceed north. Enter the bathroom and wash your hands.
  • Leave and head west. Take the iron pole.
  • Go back to OR2 and use the steel bar to get a small key out of the flames.
  • Head to the entrance of Dean's room and take the ID card hidden in the right flower pot.
  • Enter OR3, read the note and open the cupboard. Replace the IDs.
  • Leave and wash the ID card in the bathroom.
  • Save and enter the operating room. Escape and run to OR1. Hide under the upper right bed.
  • Re-enter the operating room and read the old diary.
  • Pick up the golden key, wash your hands and enter Dean's room.
  • Read the notebook parts and save. Head to the north. Run!

Perfect ending? Escape from the mansion.

  • Load the last save and go to the lobby. There is a secret hallway behind the picture.

Truth in the mirror Look into the mirror at the end...
