This guide was made during the early days of Ravenfield's EA phase. Many of the challenges below were created with earlier builds of Ravenfield in mind. You could theoretically still enjoy them in the current build, but some workshop items might no longer be present, and some features might be different.

Consider the guide to be more of an archive of Ravenfield from 2018-2019 than anything else.

[NOTE: This guide was originally written back in spring 2018, but all of the challenges in it should still be achievable. If any maps, items, or vehicles that were used for these challenges are not available anymore, mention them in the comments.]

So, you've played a match on every default level, learned how to fly the Helicopter, and tested a dozen mods from the Workshop? Nice work! Why stop playing the game at that point, though? Ravenfield has endless possibilities for creating new configurations and battle scenarios. If you're hungry for more action, then these challenges were made for you. Over 30 of them are spread across 3 difficulties. Get ready to take on angry farmers, undead swarms, sniper battles, and more!

To try out a challenge, adjust the settings of your instant action game to match whatever is written in the guide. Almost all of the settings are precise, with the exception of the team balance, and even that has an explanation on how it should be adjusted.



Some challenges will require mods to play. Any custom maps, vehicles, or weapons will have hyperlinks to their Workshop pages. All it takes to download the right mods is a couple clicks!

As of writing, you can't give the bots the Akimbo Automaticos or the Bundle o'Buss. Don't panic when you can't find them in the weapon limit menu! That just means you can use those guns in the challenge, even if the AI can't.

The challenges are divided into three "leagues" based on difficulty. Bronze League is meant for beginners, Silver League for casual FPS players, and Gold League for veteran FPS fanatics and Ravenfield experts. They can be played in any order you like, though I would recommend starting with the easier options. All of them have been tested and can be beaten.

With that out of the way, let's begin with the easier challenges...

These challenges will test your mettle, but they won't break your will. Recommended for players new to Ravenfield or people who want to start small.

A local mob boss has put a price on your head, and now every would-be assassin is gunning for you. Time to fight fire with fire! Join up with your own hired guns and destroy the men guarding his villa. Keep at least one reserve of your guys alive, or you'll never retake your territory!

2. Clear Skies Ahead

Eagle and Raven wiped out each others' air vehicles in an earlier battle, leaving both sides without air power for now. You've gotten word that Raven will be getting a fresh shipment of choppers in a day. Don't let them get that advantage! Use whatever vehicles you have to get an early foothold on the island, then take down their forces. With any luck, you'll have good defensive positions ready to repel their counterattack.

3. The Line

Command wants you and your men to scout out the Dustbowl for enemy forces, so they've pinpointed an outpost that they want you to investigate. Radio activity around there has been busy, but the signals don't sound friendly. Oh, and try to keep your men alive this time, would you? You can't keep using our soldiers as cannon fodder!

4. Max Payne Mode

Map: Any small or medium-sized map.

Rules: Every kill you make grants you one second of slow motion for a total of 10 seconds. Team balance is 40% for your team and 60% for the enemy team (if one of your teammates disappears in the preview image, you've moved the balance meter too far). Win the match.

You may not be a hard-boiled New York detective, but you got the reflexes of one. Your kills boost your bullet time meter, letting you slow down time at the press of a button. Use your powers to take control of the area with your allies. You may be outnumbered, but you have an ability your enemies won't be ready for.

5. Utter Chaos

A patrol of Eagle and Raven pirate ships have gotten into a battle, and in desperation they've broken out the explosives. Bombs are flying all over the place! Make sure you secure your own ship, no matter how the battle goes. You must hold onto at least one flag throughout the match, even if your team loses.

6. Rifle Is Fine!

Rules: You cannot use your secondary weapon. Kill 20 enemies that are 100 meters away or more and win the match.

Your friends in the army keep laughing at you behind your back. "Why does he keep using those outdated guns?" they ask. They want to slap optics and rails on it, but you know your rifle is fine as it is. Show them there's more to a gun than the looks or fire rate! Do the job their guns can't, and take out at least 20 targets at long range. You can use the Squad Leader Kit to measure distances. After this, maybe they'll gain some respect for your weapon of choice!

7. Quick Draw

Two outlaw gangs have gotten into a turf war over a parcel of land that's barely worth a few dollars. They've whipped out their revolvers and rushed into battle guns-a-blazing. Don't expect to use any fancy rifles or new-fangled gatling guns; all you've got is the .357 Condor strapped to your belt! Help your posse secure this "valuable" piece of territory!

8. Agents of A.T.D.F.

Fortunately, the truce ended a couple hours ago, so no one will blink twice at their deaths. Track those drunkards down and give them some 7.62 hangover medication.

10. Insert Coin To Continue

Expect tougher resistance and more restrictions in these league of challenges. Recommended for players familiar with Ravenfield or casual FPS players.

Looks like they arrived at the same time! Make sure Raven doesn't get away with too much. If they nab more than 400 points' worth of goods, your commanding officer will send you to the brig!

3. Night Shift

Police are still 15 minutes away, so you and the other 2 guards will need to resolve the problem on your own. Bring a flashlight or some NVGs - the intruders shut down the power and are trigger-happy enough to shoot at anyone who isn't wearing their colors.

4. Pacifist Run

You told your recruiter that killing is forbidden under your religion, but he sent you off to the front lines anyway. You may not be allowed to kill, but you can still make a difference on the battlefield! Repair vehicles with your wrench, resupply your allies with ammo bags and medic bags, carry teammates around in vehicles, capture flags, and stun enemies with spearheads to lead your team to victory.

5. A Pirate's Life For Me!

Don't stop there - use that tactical position to help your team win! Knock out 5 Raven-controlled boats using that weapon. You may just tip the odds in Eagle's favor.

8. Winter Soldier

You have orders to break from your squad and undertake some covert operations. Sabotage Raven's war effort by any means necessary. You have a blank check on equipment, so take whatever tech you want. If you can withstand the cold and the bullets, try to kill 20 Raven personnel without getting incapacitated. When we win, we'd like to return you home in one piece.

Crown Island is the cornerstone of Eagle's island territories. Raven has had its eyes on the territory for years, and now it has launched an all-out attack to claim it. Fall in with the Raven paratroopers and secure the island for your nation. You've been given some new equipment to help with the invasion...as have the Eagles. Remember to stay alert, stay mobile, and stay in control of the island's outposts! Losing too many of them will shut out Raven reinforcements for good!

10. Armored Fury

This land is too soft and hilly for heavy armor, but the officers just won't accept that! Raven and Eagle have deployed tanks to overrun their foes, risking valuable equipment to the dangerous cliffsides and fragile walkways. Orders are still orders, so you'd better adapt to this new strategy.

11. The Long War

"Afghanistan is a big place." Well, nobody bothered to tell you that! Your forces are stuck down in this dustbowl without support, and now a local militia has sworn to drive you out. Reinforcements are a week away, and your orders are to hold the line. Overpower your opponents and take as many command posts as you can. Your guns are crude and obsolete, but they'll have to do for now.

12. The New Order

It was bound to happen. A rogue cyborg army has established itself on the Moon and is gearing up for a campaign to conquer the world. You must stop them before they become too powerful! Already, their mechanical legions are gathering to destroy your task force. Use all of their twisted weapons against them and take down their moonbase!

13. Hash-Slinging Slasher

Rules: Turn on night mode. Kill at least 20 enemies with melee weapons and win the match.

In the quiet hours of the night, an Eagle strike force comes to blows with Raven's army over control of a strange maze-like structure near the coast. Something about the place has awakened unusual urges in you. Maybe it's the light, the crash of the waves, or the roar of gunfire, but you suddenly have the desire to RIP AND TEAR the Ravens sent to guard the place. Oh well, who needs guns or bombs; show the Ravens you mean business by taking out at least 20 of their troops in close combat! Maybe if you win, your squad will call you a hero instead of a violent maniac.

14. Painted World

And you thought the gunfight on the moon was weird! You and three other Eagle soldiers are trapped in an Impressionist painting. The landscape is beautiful, but there's a small problem: a horde of the undead are trying to end your lives! Use the terrain to your advantage and fight off this painted army.

Bring your A-game to this league. Challenges are merciless and will demand all of your effort. The odds will be stacked against you. Recommended for veteran FPS players who know Ravenfield's mechanics inside and out.

This is the stalemate to end all stalemates. Caught in a bottleneck, two rival commanders are throwing thousands of men at each other to break the siege. You wouldn't want either of them to feel bad, would you? Make sure both sides feel like they've fought hard and did their best. Prevent a victory from occurring until one side has reached 2000 points. Anything after that is fair game.

2. Cow of Duty

A farming cooperative between Eagle and Raven civilians has collapsed. Too many disputes over missing cattle and damaged fences have escalated into a full-blown turf war between farmers. You gotta show these Eagle chumps not to mess with your crops! Crush at least 10 of them under your tractor to get the message across.

3. Icarus Effect

Air superiority is a tried-and-true tactic for success on the battlefield. Eagle and Raven have deployed their latest and deadliest aircraft in an effort to break the stalemate at the Mountain Pass. Your commanding officers have extreme disgust for Eagle's air force, and would love to see some of their fancy choppers and planes go down in flames. Live up to your commanders' expectations and clear the sky of Eagle air vehicles.

You need lightning reflexes to become a Raven installation guard. Today, you and the other recruits will be performing a defense exercise on the Archipelago base. Several men in Eagle uniforms will attempt to overtake your post. Don't let them pull it off! Both sides are armed with less-lethal rounds. When you spot the intruders, eliminate them all before 15 seconds pass. Do this, and you'll qualify for the next round of tests.

If you're going down, you'll take as many Ravens with you as you can! 50 points should spread fear among their ranks, but you can keep going for more. Who knows, if you get 150 points, then you might live to fight another day...

Rules: Every headshot allows you to turn on slow motion for 5 seconds. Continued headshots reset the timer for slow-mo. Win the match.

If you spend your life killing people, you should expect retribution. All of your victims have risen from the dead, and they're intent on avenging themselves. Radios aren't working, roads are blocked, and your weapons have vanished. If you want to survive until dawn, you and your squad will have to fight like hell.
