NiceHUD (v.70)

Description
The traditional health- and mana-orbs are fine in principle, but their placement at the bottom of the screen makes it hard to glance at them during intense fights. Unfortunately, that's also the time when this information is needed the most.
I therefore made this mod, which aims to create DHUD-like health- and mana-bars. Those are conveniently placed to the left and right of the character and since our horizontal peripheral vision is somewhat better than the vertical, we thus get a much better impression of the character's health and mana even when things get busy. Seeing the health of a character drop down from 100% to <30% in a couple of seconds is much more discernible with this hud, than with just the default-orbs.
I hope you'll find this useful as well. At the moment, NiceHUD consists of the bars and the textual values for the player's and the pet's mana, which appear once the player's health- or mana-pool sinks below 100%. When hovering an enemy with the mouse, an additional bar is added to show the target's health.

An options menu for this mod can be brought up via CTRL+N (rebindable in the controls-section). This gives you four different opacity settings to choose from (100%. 75%, 50% and 25%) plus the ability to disable NiceHUD's target-bar.

Planned:
- maybe attach the list of buff-icons to one of the bars.
- distinguish the type of targeted enemy via a symbol or maybe a different health-bar-colour.

This mod doesn't replace the old ui, it just adds something. It should therefore be perfectly safe to use with other mods, which change the HUD.LAYOUT. It does overwrite the keybind.dat-file though, in order to have a shortcut for the menu.

Is it possible to add the amount of health a mob has instead of just a percentage? Maybe make that a toggle-able feature in the config?

its may be nice, if this mod will have option to turn off default orbs

Can you add key shortcut for turning off this HUD? For example, I want to turn it on only during intense boss fighting ant etc. So now I'm turning it off and on through Torchlight 2 launcher.

Very nice - just what I was looking for. I was wondering if you had made any progress with the buffs and also the potential to add cooldowns for player abilities / spells?

There are dozens of threads requesting enemy-health-bars, but there doesn't seem to be a way to add them yet. The closest anyone ever got was this mod:

But it's also limited to showing the bar of the targeted enemy only.

Hey, way you can make simple health meters appear above enemies for easier viewing during intense fights?

It'd be nice if these were to fade in and out instead of just (dis)appearing suddenly. Do you know if that's possible with what you're given to work with?
