Menu lag, glitched textures, performance fix

Menu lag (1 FPS), hard to navigate fix. Textures appear/disappear in game fix, performance fix.

This is part of dgVoodoo[dege.freeweb.hu], specific old version.

Download fix and replace flles in game folder.

Hogs of War steam fix (2020-06-26):

(copy link or open and change "[b]_com[/b]" to ".com")

In Steam library right mouse click on "Hogs of War" Properties>Local Files>Browse Local Files...
And transfer files from "Hogs of War steam fix <version>.rar" to "HogsofWar" folder.

Change compatibility settings.

Change for "HOWMenu.exe" and "warhogs_.exe"
Right mouse click on .exe properties and change:

[Compatibility] [v] Windows 98 / Windows Me [v]Disable fullscreen optimizations [v]Run this program as an administrator

WARNING!

ALT+F4 now working
ALT+TAB still problem (after alt+tab Win lock, you can exit with Win+D, Alt+F4 select [Sign Out] and re-login)

Videos fix

No videos (FMV) in game fix.

You need to enable DirectPlay.

HogsofWar videos fix.bat:

You can download "HogsofWar videos fix.bat", run (as admin) and just wait till is done and exit.

Or you can enable yourself in your PC go to

C:\Windows\System32\OptionalFeatures.exe

Legacy Components>DirectPlay.

Music fix (optional)

No music in game fix.

Download and install "_inmm238" to game folder!

HogsofWar music fix.zip:

(copy link or open and change "_com" to ".com")

Open downloaded .zip file and install "_inmm238.exe" to game folder (eg.: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\HogsofWar").

Config _inmm and patch .exe's

Open "_inmmcnf" and in method tab change:
default [DirectShow]

Press OK.
Now drag and drop "HOWMenu.exe" file to _inmmcnf.exe, press OK.
Drag and drop "warhogs_.exe" file to _inmmcnf.exe, press OK.

I had the same issue as THGhost but I managed to get the music to work like this:

Add the music folder in the _inmm.ini tab in _inmmcnf.exe (make sure to set explorer to show all files and add all the .ogg files) and save the file, then look up "directshow ogg filter" and download that.

Followed this to the letter and it did not work. It says that a file named "_inmm.ini" could not be found, it then creates a "_inmm.log" file and then leaves a window with a big red X and an OK option.

Hi, so I'm trying to drag and drop the warhogs_.exe file into _inmmcnf.exe, but it says it can't write. Is there something I missed?

Hey, I have now changed the compatibility and disabled the full screen optimization and set run as admin as well as the settings of both .exes. now it doesn't even start anymore.
