When I was in Chicago in 2010, I was in Federal Plaza near this building, taking photos of the famous Flamingo sculpture, when I was accosted by someone who was either a guard, cop, or agent (Homeland Security, etc., I never took note). They suggested I'd be taken in by the "people in those buildings" for questioning and have my camera taken away for taking photos of the federal buildings, and said I had to leave. I was escorted off the premises, despite the fact that photography of or around Federal Buildings from/on public property is perfectly legal. I guess some people think that's a terrorism risk...

...So instead of photos, enjoy this highly detailed and accurate recreation of Chicago's Federal Center, right down to the anti-terrorist bollards. Subscribe to annoy Homeland Security.

The Kluczynski Federal Building was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and completed in 1974. It's 562 feet high and has 45 floors. The tower has an open lobby with elevator banks visible in-game. In addition to the main tower, this asset also includes the Chicago Post Office - Loop Station, a low pavilion-like structure also designed by Mies, and Federal Plaza. The post office's main floor/public space is also visible through large windows. The plaza includes the Flamingo, a sculpture created by Alexander Calder in 1973.
