Westerado Gunslinger [.18]

Description

Westerado Gunslinger adds compatibility between the core Westerado mod and Combat Extended by NoImageAvailable

The base mod was designed with Combat Extended in mind so this is a highly suggested mod.

Features
19+ New western-themed weapons, ranging from six shooters to double-barrelled shotguns, optimized for Combat Extended
Overhauled research, the vanilla gunsmithing research options have been extended to give a stronger sense of progression in the research, without compromising compatibility with other mods that add more weapons
New musket ammo type, the Minié ball

Add-ons
We suggest using all the add-ons, but none of them are required.

Mod loading order
Westerado Gunslinger has to be below (after) Westerado (Core) in the load order. Westerado (Core) has to be below (after) Combat Extended. Something like:
  • Combat Extended
  • Westerado
  • Westerado Gunslinger
  • (Westerado Provisions)
  • (Westerado Wilderness)

Compatibility
Should be compatible with anything that Westerado (Core) and Combat Extended is compatible with. Things that could cause problems:
  • Complete conversion mods
  • Mods that make alteration to Rimworld's tale system
  • Mods that make radical changes to research

I've got an issue where the musket can be loaded and fired - but no sound is made, and no bullet projectile is created. Unsure how to fix it.

I have a feeling as to what's causing this issue, the problem is that we're currently developing a seperate project so we're not really set up to patch Westerado at this very moment. I'll look into if there's an easy fix for your issues, otherwise unfortunately you'll have to wait for some time.

Having the same problem as Chaosinum. Not able to craft the vast majority of ammo types. Annoying too, as I've only discovered it when I've gotten to the stage that muskets have been made mostly obsolete
Am I missing something?

@Hersir, hi i have a problem: most recipes for bullets don't appear in the loading bench (the one to make bullets). I have researched gunpowder, the tech after that and all the basic techs for shotguns, rifles and revolvers. The only bullets I can make are very basic, .50 minnie, 10 gauge stuff like that, but can't make .45 and 12 gauge. Am I missing something? I followed your instructions for the load order.

Heads up, last I checked the range for the one shot rifle, the one right before bolt action on the research tree, has only a 20 tile range, compared to the bolt actions 50ish. I'm guessing that isnt how it is supposed to be.

Rattlesnakes seem to have a difficult time biting things. I tested it with a rat, and the only times it's landed hits did any damage was when it destroyed a body part.

I had issues too but found out I was missing Vegetable garden stuf, since the provision mod needs it, thought it was this mod first because all errors it gave was related to CE etc

From the log it looks like an issue with Combat Extended not this mod. You could try to delete Combat Extended under SteamApps/workshop/294100 (or wherever it's located for you) manually, or just unsubscribing to it on the workshop and resubscribing after.

You need to add textures to fix the bottom thing that's below
