Introduction
The weight tool is used to modify the weight of an object, entity or vehicle.

The maximum weight that can be set is 50,000 and the minimum weight being 1.

Highering the weight will give your prop more density and weight, vice versa when lowering the number.
Vehicle Weight Distribution
The distribution of weight for vehicles is extensively important when using this tool.

First off all, when altering the weight of a vehicle (TDM, LW, ROYS, CW etc), it is important to know that you shouldn't lower or higher the vehicle's weight too much else it will sustain interations/glitches with the world.

So Why Change a Vehicle's Weight?
Changing a vehicles weight can be great for race cars. Whether you are drag racing or just showing off your car. Altering the vehicles weight can be useful.

Highering the Weight Value
Highering the weight value will lower your car and add more mass to your vehicle. Too much weight will lower your car to the ground and it will be undriveable.

This may be useful if you want to lower the suspension of your car and make it look more like a ricer or custom ride.

Lowering the Weight Value
Lowering the weight value can be useful as you can make your car even faster!
You can alter the weight of a car slightly to give a fraction more lift and speed when leaving the start line.
HOWEVER!
Reducing the weight value for vehicles is risky as you risk the chance of losing your car to the world. What I mean by this is. If you lower the weight too much, the vehicle will be too light and bounce/jump around the map making it very difficult to retreive.

To avoid the following. Make sure to alter the original weight value of the car by between about 500-700. This varies with different vehicles and some can even lose half of their total weight. But to stay safe and to avoid anybody noticing too. Keep it to these levels.
Prop Weight Distribution
Props on the other hand are much different to vehicles.

All props can be customised to any weight, but I will discuss various tips and facts to keep your purpose of weight change valid.

To start off, if you want to kill yourself or someone or even a bunch of people. Higher the props weight to 50,000. Not only will this now be the heaviest prop available, but it is also a great killing machine.

p.s, if you're playing on a server with RDM rules and you start throwing heavy props at people, you'll most likely be banned so you never heard this tip from me :)

Anyways, if you're using the weight tool for more useful things then here are some genuine tips you'll need to know.

The higher the props weight, the more weight you can place on top of that prop without distortion
What this means is, if you're using a prop to move or transport another unwelded prop, the weight distrubution needs to be carefully thought out. See screenshots for a better explanation

This diagram shows an unwelded prop ontop of a prop that is welded to part of the world. The prop will stay solid on this weld as it shares the same weight value.

Lowering the unwelded prop's weight will still allow the prop to stay rigid on the welded prop. However, increasing the mass of the unwelded prop will go straight through and fall off the welded prop as it can't hold the mass amount of weight against the weld.

However!
This can all be avoided by also altering the welded prop's properties.
If you set the welded prop's weight to the same or higher than the unwelded prop. This will tell the weld to hold 50,000 worth of weight and anything on it with the same or lower value will stay put.

End Products
After getting used to the distribution of weight values and understanding how it all works. You can move on to make some pretty cool builds.

Here's a Vehicle Elevator I created as an example:

Each one of the props have been weight checked and all serve a particular purpose. If you read this guide carefully, you can begin to use the tricks to create your own mechanics and useful prop traits.

Finish Half-Life 2 by yourself. Gmod has glitches during the ending of the game which are very difficult to fix. In other words, play the game as it's supposed to be played
