Your First Steps
Waking up
When first spawning you wake up in a dark room. There are a couple really important things to grab here. First the pistol and ammo on the dead guy. Second the mobile 3D printer near the exit. After collecting these you will move towards the exit, put your helmet on, then select your spawn. (The skull icon appears on the spawn screen after you die in game and meet the spawn screen again)
Enemies And Loot
The Robots
There are several types of robots, most harmless alone, but all of them dangerous in groups. These robots are important to your progression as upon looting them they will reward flops. (Tip: when fighting robots right click to heavy attack with melee. It does much more damage and will help you farm the robots for flops) The easiest way to fight bots is by looting the small iron ore spawns all around the map that dont require a pulse excavator to farm. Using that iron ore, you can refine it in the mobile 3D printer to craft a pistol (4 iron bars) and then craft ammo (3 iron bars and 1 nitrate per 15 pistol bullets) Nitrate spawns can be found like the iron ore spawns and can be picked up with out an pulse excavator.

Flops
Note: Flops are the most important resource in the game!
Flops are used to learn crafting recipies and building blocks for bases. There are several ways to find flops including killing bots. Other ways to aquire flops are by looting containers, killing players, or attending flop events. Check out this guide by Fireball_Small for a simple explaination of the upkeep system requiring flops to maintain your base: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1408492179

Flop EventsFlop events are marked by the giant whitish bluish pillars of light.
Approach these events with caution as other players looking to learn new crafting abilities will put up a fight for the flops at these events. When you arrive you will see a rather large complex or city that has plenty of loot and also plenty of enemies.

You will see, upon getting close enough to the event, 4 markers pop up on your hud. Once you get to one of these markers inside the buildings you will find a flops terminal. Interact with the flops terminal and you will receive 5 flops every 3 seconds until all the flops are depleted.

Looting
There are many different loot containters. If its lootable it'll have a white light lit on the container. Check anything you can as these containers have flops, and refined metals for crafting and building.
When it comes to looting, stick to smaller towns and random little buildings you find scattered across the red planet. When you find/craft a decent amount of ammo and a weapon you will have better chances looting the bigger settlements.
Farming And Resouce Gathering
Gathering
Upon spawning in you will notice small amounts of raw resources spread all over the planet. Collecting these is how you will get started in this game. You can refine iron with your 3D printer to start your base, build weapons, and ammo. Another way to gather refined materials is by looting settlements and abandoned shacks all around Mars.

Farming
Farming is pretty self explanatory. To farm you need a pulse excavator. You can also extract resources from disabled computer terminals and disables robot enemies in the "cities" on Mars using the pulse excavator. You have to unlock the pusle excavator using flops or find one via any of the lootable containers including dead players. If you cant find a pulse excavator you can craft one using the mobile 3D printer after you unlock the pulse excavator with flops. If it is avaliable, use a blast furnace to refine your ore as it will yeild more refined resources for less ore. The only ores that can be refined/smelted in the blast furnace, to my knowledge, are iron ore and magnesium ore.

Silicon Farming
Now im sure you have heard you fair share of rumors about how to get silicon. After some research and testing a couple of friends of mine (Twitch Heartseeker and Kretoszczuron) have confirmed that silicon is harvestable at the solar panel farms in the south west side of the map. Im sure there are other solar panel sites around the map so keep your eyes peeled. The coordinates to the area where the most silicon can be found are (x758, y825). I have not actually tested this myself, however i was told that you need the cutting torch to get the most silicon that you can at these areas. A big thanks to all the people in the comments helping me and my friends find the silicon.
Thanks For Checking This Guide Out
Good Luck Out There
Thank you if you made it this far. If you know anything that you would like me to add to this guide leave a comment and ill make sure to throw it in as soon as a I can! Please note that this game is early access and anything in this guide is prone to change eventually.

Not even worth the hours you put in. JUST TO FEEZE IN PLACE AND NOT BE ABLE TO MOVE WHEN A FLOP ZONE APPAIRS AND HAVE ALL YOUR BEST GEAR AND WEAPONS STOLEN. Many many hours lost and after the amount of time you put in just to have a glitch take it all away. yeah not close to being ready. There are many glitches and that's fine but having no way to get back the hours of gear because you release something with MANY major glitches is just wrong. I had hope for this game and I'm just warning you to make sure you don't invest to much just to lose it all because of the many early release glitches this game still has. Try back in 2 many 3 years.

how do you get Silicon?
Radiotic  [author] 16 Jun, 2018 @ 9:22pm
R.J. yes to my knowledge, iron ore and magnesium are the only materials the blast furnace can smelt. Sorry for the delay.
