Personally I just use a controller and a keyboard+mouse together. It seems to be the best of both worlds. Some things are so much easier with a mouse which gives precise control and is good for anything that needs precision but doesn't need speed or different keys in quick succession because mouse is slow. On the other hand controller is faster and smoother to use for when you are doing complicated things that require you to press keys quickly but has so little precision that it can make the easy tasks hard. So for example anything that requires aiming or shooting or prolonged flight/glide with precise flight paths is better with keyboard+mouse but then anything with racing or chasing or riddler's timed batmobile obstacle courses are WAY easier with a controller. Remote controlled batarangs are so easy to control via mouse, and doing multiple fear attack is much easier. On the other hand I would never be able to chase down the arkham knight's lieutenant vehicles without a controller.
