The Soviet Reunion YAF class of frigates were the hammer of the Soviet Reunion non capital class surface vessesls.
Designed with the latest technologies and weapons they were generally able to defeat Scottish Independant Navy ships of the same class.
The YAF7 Yet Another Frigate 7 is Built for maneuverability and firepower her weapons and defences are optimised for broadside maneuvres, with Point defence coverage falling to 40% in head on engagements.
With a top speed of 17MS-1 she is fast but not spectaculalry so. She carries limited AA defences with her main AA gun serving more as an anti material weapon for battleship sensors and weak spots. The forward main guns use a slightly faster but lower damage shell than the rear gun this can be swapped as needed.
Toward the middle of WW3.5 and a bit, sometime after the thermonuclear anhilation of Jamaica. The Soviet Reunion became wary of the large fleet comprised of the entire population of Jamaica currently establishing a man made Island in the Black sea, with the possibility of a war on 2 fronts looming The AIs running the Reunion saw fit to design a fire support frigate with the speed and firepower to deal with this potential new threat. Little did the machines running the Soviet Reunion realise that within months the Jamaican Expiditionary force and the Soviet Reunion would be all that stood between freedom and the terrifying might of Queen lizzie the last and the evil Armies of the Second British Empire.
