Destination Board Codes for Portsmouth Direct Line - London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour
By Oxalin
This guide lists all the different destination board codes for the EMUs included with the NEW Portsmouth Direct Line: London Waterloo - Portsmouth Harbour. These are the BR Classes 444, 450, 455, 377. (Created after I was unable to find any documentation already, so went through and listed each one myself).

BR Class 377 - Southern (AI Trains Only)
These trains use the same destination codes as found in the London to Brighton Main Line Manual. This manual can be found either:
  • File path (if you own London to Brighton), replace EN with language of choice: /Steam/steamapps/common/RailWorks/Manuals/EN/London to Brighton Main Line
  • From the London to Brighton Main Line Steam Store Page https://steamhost.cn/app/208280/Train_Simulator_London_to_Brighton_Route_AddOn/ Scroll down a little and a link saying "view the manual" will be on the right of the page. (Near the top if using the app)
BR Class 455 - South West Trains
These trains use the same destination codes as found in the Thomson Interactive Class 455 Manual. These are not the same as the destination codes in the Southern Class 455/8 Manual! As this manual does not appear to be available on the Steam Store Page before buying the product, I will add the destination codes here.
BR Class 444 and BR Class 450 - South West Trains
Information
Both the Class 444 and Class 450 have a completely new destination list, which is the same for both trains. The destination can only be set on the end coaches of a 5 car unit for the Class 444 or the end coaches of the 4 car unit for the Class 450.

Each coach, when double clicked, will display a 13-digit code in the form UUUUUUXXXXXDD. The first six digits are the unit number, the following five are the carriage number, then the final two are the destination number. I have listed the allowed numbers, with their appropriate destinations, below.

It is important to note that the destination shown is that which will show on the side display of the unit, not the front display, which tends to shorten the destination (For Example, removing "Fast Service" or "Stopping Service"). These images demonstrate the difference between a front and side display respectively.

Ah okay thanks. I was thinking they might be route numbers, like with buses.

@MisterSir I believe they're old BR Southern Region two-digit headcodes. On older units they were displayed on the front instead of a destination, so were well known among the public. With the 455s they were still displayed, but alongside a destination. The routes numbers varied over the years, and I don't know what most of them are, so I've typically just used random ones rather than with any accuracy.

Hi, I'm not all that familiar with UK railways sorry, what do the numbers on the 455 destination board mean?
Oxalin  [author] 20 Sep, 2020 @ 5:26am
I'll admit, I've just tried that and it didn't work for me either, but I've checked and it is definitely included as controls in the Southampton - Bournemouth manual, so I'm not too sure...

@Oxalin The destination boards for Southampton to Bournemouth should work the same as detailed above for the PDL:
When in the scenario editor, double click the train to bring up the consist details, and change the last two digits of the number to the corresponding value above for the destination you want.
When in game, the controls are Ctrl+5 and Ctrl+6 to cycle destinations. That didnt work
