1. Pick a server
*Picking a server closest to your computer is ideal and with the lowest number of players.
For example, I picked United States East #7

*Make sure and add to favorite, to remember which server you play on. Your information for that server saves only on that sever.

*The only way to save is by building a house, adding a storage container, clothing chamber, and maintenance terminal (as done in walkthrough)

*This is a beta game, and could be wiped making saving unforeseeably temporary.

*You can obtain a time capsule which requires a very long time of game play but is a way to save a few items for the next season (only 5, pick wisely).




2. Choose to play online

Choose to spawn in the east (easiest spawn point)
There is a beginning scene. You start out in a dark room. Look to your right and pick up the Oxygen Tank on the floor [keyboard F to pick up] * [Esc] For a game controls list under settings. On the table nearby is the Dry Ration. Go to the body laying on the floor and pick up the Wraith Gun and ahead of that is the Flashlight, Mobile Printer, and Oxygen Helmet to the rt. of the exit door. Press [F] to exit.

(the game will load now)

Starting out, make sure to equip inventory items to your hotbar.
Click on inventory [ Keyboard I to access inventory ]
Using your mouse, do a click hold and drag it to your hotbar square labeled 1 (or of your choice).
Ammo cannot be added to hotbar but must be dragged from inventory to weapon or by pressing [R] after firing to reload.

Move your Oxygen Tank to 3.
Move your Dry Ration to 4.
Move your 3D Printer to hotbar square 5.

Your helmet is on for good, no need to worry about equipping it.



Now that you have spawned in the east look on map by pressing [M] and find the oxygen pipeline (green line running east and west). Using your mouse roll button, roll forward to zoom in and backward to zoom out. Use the navigator (top odf screen) to follow the pieline east to a small shack and loot 8 drawers to the left and eight to the rt. If they have already have been looted (red light) restart to a different server until you find this loot available (white light)). Loot is random/different each time. After looting all run behind the shack to organize your inventory and equip any looted weapons/Armour.

Drag weapons to hotbars 1 and if extra to 2.
Drag Oxygen Tanks to hotbar 3
Drag Health Kits/Dry Rations to 4

Run further east along the pipeline to an Oxygen refill as shown in picture and located on map [M] and refill (hold F)
You should see the large Barracks area.

Run south of that to a crash site (pictured) and loot/place/equip new inventory. You may have to crouch [C] to reach some of the loot.
I follow this routine to best remember keys quickly.
Hotbar Square 1- weapon
Square 2- extra weapon
Square 3- Oxygen tank or third weapon.
Square 4- Health
Square 5- Mobile Printer
Square 6- Excavator
Square 7- Welder
Square 8- tool (Flashlight, Binoculars etc.)
Drag/Equip ammo to weapon hotbar key from inventory.
Starting out there are two ammo/gun types. You must use the correct ammo for the correct weapon.
Wraith/10.8mm
Charger/6.5mm



*Be picking up small rocks/ores as you travel, keeping in mind that you need.
8 Iron for a square Platform
4 Iron for a Wall
Flops for Maintanance
3 Iron for a Door Frame
2 Iron/2 Aluminum for a Door

Use your Mobile Printer to craft Iron from these ores to then craft ammo. Always keep your guns loaded. To reload after firing press [R]

Use your food and health kits as needed.
Use the oxygen refill stations.

If you die, respawn east and run back to your body located on map. Loot your capsule. You may have to "run in and out"




Journey back West to the Barracks and be sure to have your gun equipped and loaded. There are a lot of spider bots in this area. Shoot at them by pressing left mouse key and [R] to reload. The Barracks are very hard without armour. Journy back to the first shack you looted and then far west to the large Dome being aware of enemy bots. Look North across the great expanse and locate a second shack up in the hill. Loot the shack remembering to place armour , load weapons, and consume Dry Ration/food items. You may have more than one gun/ammo type. Drag every gun to your hotbar (switching guns is faster than reloading at this point).

Sprint west (W+Shift) to the pipeline and follow it far North/NE (past a second dome) to a second crash site. From this crash site sprint west to a small cave, taking cover from enemy bots. Loot the cave then loot the crash site, running "in and out" of the cave to replenish health and to defend from bots.

By now you should have a gun, ammo, and a few pieces of armour.

From the crash site sprint back South/SE along the pipeline to the first dome. Stop at the oxygen tank and shoot nearby bots if needed. Looking North from this first dome there is a large Iron Ore field and you can see the second shack you looted far in the distance. This is where I put my first base. Hopefully by now you have looted a Welding tool. To use, place in hotbar and select its hotbar number key. Use the welding tool to make a blue draft. Press Keyboard button for build and locate square platform. Click on square platform then click place. The draft turns blue when placeable. Make a blue draft of the Platform, 3 Walls, Door Frame, and Door along the east rock wall of the Iron Ore field.
Use your welding tool and left clicker to fill in the walls North, South , and East. Place your Door to the west. You must place the Door Frame before the Door. Build and place Maintenance, you will have to spend flops to learn building skills located in the skilltree menu. Drop any flops into maintenance to pay upkeep (I like to stay 3 days ahead). If you dont pay upkeep other players can easily dismantle your base using only a welding tool. Always check other bases when passing. They may not have paid upkeep and you can loot their base. If you run out of Iron pick up small rocks and craft Iron with your Mobile Printer. If you were lucky enough to loot an excavator use that on the larger deposits by placing it in your hotbar and selecting its key number then left click as the excavater deposites Iron ore into your Inventory.


Follow the east rock wall to get to a staircase balcony. Sprint "in and out" looting crates/spawn capsule.
