Ty brother. I added you and talked about these but I wanna add this for others that might find this golden guide in 2025 and onwards:

IF YOU WANT TO USE SPIDERMOD use it before going into the eternal stuff. It will fuck up the 14 secrets in the stats page (which is win 7 times with each character).

I had done all these and missed Dark Boy and Daddys Legs just didnt spawn for more than20 hours. So my eternal secrets even though they counted the counter went back to 99. I had to redo some and mess with the game for it go work back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone that sees this, so it'll save you more trouble than good :')

And yes, you need to install a flash player to run the mod. You can use the one linked in the guide, or the one i gave in my second link below.

I think it would be compatible with vanilla isaac yes.

And there's no way you can get banned for this.
Firstly, VAC ban is impossible, VAC is valve anticheat, it only works on games featuring it.
Secondly, i don't even think this is forbidden. If it's forbidden to cheat achievements in a game, it's never forbidden by valve, but by the game publisher. And trust me, Isaac publisher is not enforcing ban on classic isaac ahah. The game is 100% offline anyway, what could they do ? You could even use SAM (steam achievement unlocker) to get all the achievements you want, without modifying your game.
But lastly : if you cheat to complete your achievements, it's going to give a bad taste to your success. In my opinion it's going to waste your work on these 99% legit achievements, because in the end, your platinum is not legit.

So, my tip would be : don't cheat your achievements. But nobody is going to go after you if you do, and you're perfectly allowed to do it.

Two more things, does clearing secrets in the mod count as well towards the original Isaac file?
Because I need them to show up in the original game's stats :)

Also do I need extra flash installers or does the zip work as is?

@Spychopat Thanks for the latest link and also the guide creator for preserving this mod! I'm losing my sanity with this game. I have 2 items that just haven't spawned in the last 15 hours I've been playing plus I can't get the dark/mamas boys achievements because of random bs happening all the time...
I did eternal personalities and everything else. I just haven't got the spare time and mental capacity I used to, so I though of using the spidermod as well to finish the leftover vanilla stuff...

I see that renaming the mod to isaac.exe still counts towards achievement progression so this is very good news.
As silly as it might seem this isn't account bannable right? VAC ban is for cheating in multiplayer games from my understanding.
Anyways I've been so invested 100% this game so much that it seems wrong to give up now at 99%.

Btw, the achievements ARE working for me with the mod. But in the same way than vanilla. That means : i need to restart the game, and all achievements are given at the start of the game.
The way i launch the game, i didn't renamed any file, i'm starting the launcher by putting this into start parameter on steam :

"D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\The Binding Of Isaac\IsaacLauncher.exe" %command%

Then, even if i choose the modded version, i get the achievements :)

i'm desperatly trying to find eternal edition for spidermod, but i think it probably doesn't exist x)
