As of now, there are currently 23 melee weapons so far, this may or may not increase.

Fantasy melee weapons are special types of melee weapon that are only exclusive to the Gold-tier class. In Dying Light, there are a total of 8 Fantasy weapons up for grabs which are listed here:

= Battle Axe of Titans (Two-handed Medieval Battle Axe)
= Blade of Order (One-handed Sword)
= Gonunaba (Golden Katana)
= Loco (Golden Baseball)
= Rune Hammer (Two-handed Hammer)
= Skullmace (A mace made from skulls... duh)
= Smackhammer (Two-handed wooden Hammer)
= Tribal Knife (Long Knife)

As the name suggests, Fantasy weapons are more of a showcase weapon rather than engaging-in-combat weapon. For example, weapons like the Skullmace and Smackhammer cannot be repaired or add any blueprints on it. But in return, mods can still be added and they do have a higher durability than most weapons. Also, the selection of blueprints for weapons like the Blade of Order and Battle Axe of Titans are limited. It seems the best blueprint for them is the 'Bolter Poison'.
From this, I'm not saying they are completely useless. They do a decent amount of damage with a decent amount of handling. If you consider removing them from your inventory, do not dismantle them but rather sell them to the salespeople found across the map since they can be sold for a higher price than average.

A weapon that is considered quite useful is the Smackhammer. It is to be said that the Smackhammer is the best two-handed weapon to have in Nightmare mode. The Smackhammer uses little stamina when you swing it, for a two-handed weapon at least. This is especially useful when playing on Nightmare mode since stamina is limited.
Despite having its limits, the Blade of Order is also a good weapon in BTZ. It is a one-handed sword, so its handling is good. While its actual blade is quite long, it can attack the Night Hunter from a reasonable distance.

Now there are several ways to obtain these Fantasy weapons, but as long you have reached a minimum of Survivor Lvl. 21. Obviously, one of the most reasonable methods of finding the weapons is by getting Guru reward in Harran Prison. A guide can be found here.



Other methods can include winning Be The Zombie matches (Humans side, must reach 'Underdog' rank), finding them on top of windmills/pylons in The Following, inside of Hard locked chests/GRE chests and police vans. All of these methods except doing the Prison heist require the game to be set to a higher difficulty (Hard/Nightmare), which is quite risky and chances of finding one is like winning a lottery ticket! Yeah... it's that rare.
