Imperial Surplus [DEPRECATED]

Description
PLEASE NOTE: This mod is now superseded by the Revised and Expanded Imperial Surplus: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2169739108

DESCRIPTION

This mod adds player-usable versions of assets from the Advent to Empire Conversion that cannot be found elsewhere.

CREDITS

I made none of these meshes myself. CondensedTurtleFlesh generously allowed me to use his Clone Officer and Clone Agent meshes (which played the roles of Imperial Officer and Imperial Army Trooper uniforms) while Cavily and DimDim volunteered their time to provide the blasters and headgear.

BLASTERS

These blasters use vanilla weapon stats. Upgraded variants will be available via the same research routes as their vanilla versions. The blasters are not tintable.

E-11 Blaster Rifle (uses assault rifle stats)
T-21 Light Repeating Blaster (uses cannon stats)
DLT-20 Blaster Rifle (uses sniper rifle stats)

OUTFITS

These outfits are split into arms, torso and legs (as you might expect). They only come in male variants (sorry, ladies).

Imperial Officer
Imperial Field Officer
Imperial Trooper

HEADGEAR

All headgear pieces except for the Imperial Engineer Helmet are tintable and all of them come with male and female variants.

Imperial Officer Cap
Imperial Army Trooper Helmet (variants are included with and without the goggles on top)
Imperial Navy Trooper Helmet
Imperial Engineer Helmet

Additional assets from the Advent to Empire Conversion may be included later on.

DISCLAIMER

Star Wars is rightfully owned by Disney. The assets here are for non-commercial uses. No payment or donations will be accepted.

New Imperial Surplus Mod Released here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2169739108

This includes the Imperial Guard, whom you can tint to be Red Guard. Also includes a much wider variety of armor sets for both males and females.

@Meteortech it's from a Halo mod. Reach Redux, I think.

Sweet mod, anyone know where a guy can find some Red Guard for the game out there?

You know what's a great idea? Deciding to make mods and then setting your profile to private. Nice job. XD

In the pic you have a female unit wearing an officer cap.. What is the outfit she's wearing?

@Sparrow: Either learn to do it yourself(you'd still need WotC through to reverse-engineer the mod) or live with it. Unless some kind soul takes up your wish, but I wouldn't really bet on it, for the reason mentioned in paranthesis in the previous sentence.

will im most of the way threw in the vanilla theres no way i can just change to WOTC. i have republic weapons but no civil war weapons and its killing me. there has tobe someone that can put togeather the weapons. just the E-11 be perfect.

@Sparrow: As Kexx explained wonderfully before: "I'll explain. It's not that simple. While WOTC is in fact, an expansion to the vanilla game, in terms of "under the hood", they could very well be two separate games. This presents complications to us modders. For starters each version of the game has a separate 90+GB SDK. Many, myself included, just don't have the space for both.

Furthermore, many things changed from one to the other; new coding scripts, new texture and material shaders, etc. So even if we did have both, we can't just compile the assets in each and be done with it. Much needs to change inside the mechanics of how each piece is added to the game. The assets need to be reworked, the textures as well, etc.

Hope this clarifies why many modders have left vanilla behind."

Roland3710's opinion might differ, but there you have an excellent explanation as to why vanilla-support's been dropped by most.
