The Lost and the Damned 2: Full Mortal Jacket

Description
What?
This is an expanded version of my The Lost and the Damned mod that adds chaos cultists and vampire counts mortal soldiers - it is not designed to be compatible with the original mod.

August 2020, updated to version "2.5"

Full Mortal Jacket adds four units of cheap, expendable cultists to the warriors of chaos faction and also allows chaos-backed rebels to spawn with the new units:

Chaos Cultists:
- Spearmen
- Archers
- Zealots (2h sword)
- Stalkers (dual sword/stealthy)

Full Mortal Jacket 2.5 has overhauled the mortal units available to vampire factions. All vampire counts (Sylvania, Von Carstein, The Barrow Legion, Mousillion + all other generic factions in the VC military group) should now have access to a 'mortal recruitment' building chain which allows access to basic 'free company' styled units that, like the chaos cultists, can spawn as part of rebel armies. The units have a tomb kings style unit cap which can be increased by building more mortal recruitment buildings. They also have some growth/public order buffs/penalties as well as a small 2-unit garrison for flavour.

Free Company Militia/Mercenary types:
- Swordsmen
- Spearmen
- Archers
- Trebuchet

Further down the building chain you can get your grubby mitts on elite mortal lackeys in the form of Thrall 'Life Guards'. Veteran soldiers and hardened killers sworn into the personal service of an individual vampire as escorts, enforcers, or some other dubious profession:

Elite Mortals:
- Thrall Foot Guards (sword & shield)
- Thrall Foot Guards (greatsword)
- Thrall Horse Guards
- Thrall Huntsmen

All vamp factions get access to new undead units that flesh (bone?) out their roster since the 'ranged unit' ban has been lifted.

More dead guys:
- Skeleton Archers
- Grave Guard (Bows)
- Grave Guard (Halberd)
- Grave Guard (Spears)

Since the true von Carstein (Vlad) and that impertinent upstart (Manfred) both have designs on establishing a vampiric dominion ruling over the realms of men both of their respective factions get a more professional army roster as well as the basic militia/mercenary types:

Regular/State Troops for Vlad and Manny:
- Swordsmen
- Spearmen
- Halbardiers
- Handgunners
- Crossbowmen
- Mortars
- Cannons
- Outriders
- Knights (anti-large since the Horse Guards are anti-infantry)

New & Improved Bloodlines Units!

Part of the motivation for the '2.5' update came from CA adding the ranged units to the vampire bloodlines mechanic which never really meshed well with this mod. I have addressed this change by modding the sylvanian crossbows & handgunners into 'vassal archers' and 'vassal men-at-arms'. These units are meant to represent the downtrodden and dominated peasants frequently referenced when talking about regions under the full control of the vampire counts.

The new 'vassal' units have been integrated into VC main building chain garrisons (along with some elite thralls) and have reduced costs associated with them to make them stand out a bit more from the free company units. They're convenient to recruit in a pinch but you won't be building entire armies out of them.

Why?
The mod came about because I've read a few warhammer books in my time and I'm always leaning more towards lore & flavour over strict gameplay utility or balance. Not that I think the mod is wildly unbalanced but the VC roster is a little bloated now I guess (spear skellies, spear grave guard, spear militia, spear state troops, spear vassals etc). As for the cultists, it's a little weird we have witch hunters but no witches to hunt eh? Skip right past the mundane bad guys straight to armoured super-humans and the literal walking dead.

More?
New Model Empire - A major military reform act from Karl Franz
Reiksguard Foot - elite Empire units
Armoured Empire - Empire state troops with extra armor
The Lost and the Damned - cultists for chaos and mortals for vampire counts
Sensible rebels - rebel armies wont spawn with elite units
Sartosa Free Company - mortal pirates for Sartosa
Mercenaries - a modding resource for those looking to add mercenaries to any faction
Aaahh!!! RARE Monsters - reduced unit size for ghosts
Huntsmarshal Tweaks - reduced hostility & modified Imperial Supply units

Work has started on a port. Going to merge this with the Sartosa mod since they both basically do the same thing of adding/expanding mortals units to undead factions. As per modding tradition it'll be 'done when it's done' - HOPEFULLY a week or so assuming no major issues crop up.

I've started a Valkia run so I might be drifting back into TW modding soon-ish.

Can I ask when the updating is likely to happen

Barring unforeseen catastrophe, I'll be moving/updating most of my WH2 mods to 3 sometime after ME is out and reasonably stable.
