1.higher total damage(weapon dmg X shooting speed = total damage = DPS)

2.nice aug(Deadly, overclocked)

3. low ammo prize

personal recommand two Aoe weapon and two sustain damage weapon, Aoe for Shadder and Jupiter, sustain for hotspot and COM

I will add to this, Shotlite Tempest is an effective shotgun in the right hands and the right augments. As long as you got Deadly, Overclocked, Adaptive, and maybe either Biosynthesis if you want it to give you health for every kill (which is amazing), Pinpoint (good for a crit build), or even Race-modded so that you get that fast reload speed like a god as long as you add 4 to your reload speed in the skills available to you. I play as a Heavy Class and a Red-level Tempest at level-6 with Deadly, Adaptive, and Overclocked works amazingly with my Hold the Line at level 12, but imagine a Black-level Tempest at level 12 with Deadly, Adaptive, Overclocked, and Biosynthesis with Hold the Line at 25? Good luck trying to beat that at all because that can shred all types of zombies, even the bosses are not even safe with this particular build
