Description
''My country lay within a vast desert. When the sun rose into the sky, a burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed into the dark of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes. No matter when it came, the wind carried the same thing... Death. But the winds that blew across the green fields of Hyrule brought something other than suffering and ruin. I coveted that wind, I suppose.''

Mesh and texture by DMagnus[skyrim.nexusmods.com]

After making the Hylian Shield mod for Skyrim, I desperately wanted to make a mod featuring the Ocarina of Time Mirror Shield in all its glory. Sadly, I did not have access to a good model of the shield, and I did not have the expertise to make one myself. I moved on to other mods instead, deciding that the red Mirror Shield would never be represented in Skyrim as it should be.

Then DMagnus made this. After toiling with making the shield absorb attacks and refiring them, he gave the project to me to finish with the mirror effect from the Mirror Shield of the Great Sea. As such, the Mirror Shield of the Desert can reflect incoming magic spells.

And this is the result!

There are two versions of the Shield, and I'm treating both as canonical, and you can obtain both if you want to. One is in Kagrenzel, and one is in Ansilvund. I'll leave it up to you to find which one is where. I will say this: one of them is very wet.

Here's a video explaining the locations

The Mirror Shield of the Desert is identical to the Mirror Shield of the Great Sea except for its shape and the fact that you ca'n't strip off the enhantment. And there's no smithing version available.

You can switch the shield from heavy to light armor in the smelter.
