Step one(NPCS):So first at you base make plenty of houses for the npcs you will find in hardmode

step two(Most damage):Some of the most powerful weapons are held in shadow chest in hell so you will need to get a shadow key which can be found in the locked chests of the dungeon.For examples of those weapons look on the terraria wiki "shadow chests" that will help

step three(preparing for evil)(optional):You will want to stop the spread of curruption/crimson a way to do this is dig a hole each side of the biome then fill it with mud which it can't spread to

step four(skip mineing):You can skip mineing by fishing tons of crates then don't open them until hard mode and when you do it will give all ores needed and more

Ok the second part to fight the wall of flesh it might take a while for some

step one(diging and rebuilding):In hell dig out a very big path then build a simple dirt,rock, or what ever bridge simple

step two(hellevator):You honestly 100% need this so build one just completely straight hole to go through even if there is water or lava keep going or use bombs you will thank your self later

step three(optional):If you really really can't beat the WoF the make a hole along your bridge to hold explosioves or use the blocks of dynomite because if you hook it up to a button or switch it will not take longer to explode and most likely do more damage

step four(battle potion):You will need Battle potion to make more enemies spawn therefore you will get more guide vodo dolls(hopefully not of me)but it might take you a few times to beat the WoF so it doesn't hurt to farm a bit for em

step five(more potions):Potions are very powerful so you might need to go around and farm fo resources to make potions but you can find useful potions just around the world but some very useful potions are the iron skin,heart reach,mana potions, heath potions(duh),obsidian skin,and gravitation potions
