Glad you feel that way, sometimes I can get a little bit carried away and sound like I'm angry, which is not my intention! But yeah it's weird how EA of all people could mess that up. Wish I did tell em on a dedicated forum, but I hate signing up everywhere just to write once and forget the page the next week. I stick to GTPlanet and that's it, haha. No worries mate, it's all good. :)

Sorry for the long comment on something so unneccessary, but if you want real car names then the Skyline should be a Nissan and the Fairlady Z should only be Datsun if it is a 240Z. :) So no problem, do what you want :D
(P.S.: even Need For Speed 2015 and the new one got that name wrong, and even the design of the car itself! They used the front of a 280Z mixed with 240Z hahaha)
And yeah I loved that car to bits. But then I became a dad and had to get rid of it. :( Not exactly a family friendly car.

It can be quite confusing indeed, as all Datsuns have Nissan branding all over. A way to know what was which is to think of it this way: Datsun is how Nissan branded themselves in USA and Europe until the mid 80's, I believe they started badging Datsuns as "Datsun by Nissan" in 83, and in 85 most if not all Datsuns now had the Nissan badge. While over in Japan you had Nissan since pretty much the beginning, although there is a history behind the Datsun name too, which I won't go too deep into here xD One other example: Our '69 Datsun 1600(510) is at the same as Nissan Bluebird of the same year, but only in Japan.

Nice one bud, I guess it's a fairly common misnomer, entering the names in Google certainly gives the impression they exist, I guess some dudes call all Nissan's, Datsun's, regardless of accuracy. Thanks for the correction man, I'll install WF so I can edit the files tomorrow if I get time mate, Wikid on owning a Z, beautiful cars!

Well, you need to change more for this to be realistic. First of all, the Skyline never was a Datsun, it always has been a Nissan, except in its PMC days of course. And say the Nissan Skyline C110 Kenmeri(I know, it's not in the game, I'm just making an example) the proper Datsun name is 240K, not Skyline. And the Fairlady Z is only called that as a Nissan, its proper Datsun name is 240Z. If you make this change I'll gladly use it, as I had a Z myself(260Z). I'll stick to the standard one so far. This was just meant as a friendly heads up from someone who lives and breathes for Nissan. :)
