It wasn't "modern culture" that changed her appearance from the one seen in the shareware version. It was a letter from Eidos' lawyers in 1997. So they changed her to what is seen here, credited Core in the game (in the Help section), and Eidos became Shadow Warrior's publisher in Europe.

i had this game. the original one. thats not what she looked like...she was topless and vines across her chest and she didnt have pants on either...
