RPG Overhaul - Even More Specializations

Description
Features:
This mod adds 6 new specializations for Musashi's amazing RPG Overhaul mod. These specializations contain 42 unused perks from Long War 2, the base game, and Divine Lucubration's Infantry and Sniper class mods, giving you even more options to customize your soldier's builds.

This mod also makes a few minor changes to the original RPGO perk trees. No perks were removed, they were either shifted to the new specializations added by this mod or moved to another rank.

I felt that with the limited pool of available Squaddie perks, many of my soldiers had similar combinations and weren't really all that different from each other. This is why I have increased the number of Squaddie perks that each soldier gets upon creation from 2 to 3 and added 25 additional Squaddie perks to the pool of available perks. I plan on adding many more so that every single soldier has a personal "flavour" without being shoe-horned into a specific role (of course there is still the possibility that you will get soldiers who are born melee fighters or tanks).

@fallenscion I think I solved this problem doing what bstar said.

In XCOMRPG.ini (inside steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1491778957\Config)
I searched all LW2WotC_ and erased.
For example: I turned LW2WotC_AreaSuppression into AreaSuppression. etc.
(I also did that in XComPromotionUIMod.ini but idk if it was needed)

Now the specialization appears with ALL its perks. Finally I can get AreaSuppression on a custom gunner! :praisesun:

I see. In that case, I assume it would just be a matter of disabling/unsubscribing from the "LW2 Classes and Perks" mod and changing the ability template names in this mod's XCOMRPG.ini to those used by LWOTC.

Since I'm currently not using either mod and since RPGO doesn't officially support LWOTC, I'm not really interested in making/publishing/supporting an LWOTC version. It shouldn't be too hard though and you're free to do so yourself. If you need any pointers, feel free to ping me on the XCOM 2 modding discord.

@bstar - TLDR:kind of, sort of, mostly?

LWOTC changes a bunch of the perks from those in the original LW2 that this one references.

Using LW2 Classes and Perks basically slots them in, but then also leads to weird overrides that mod enforces since it's a class pack with a similar code structure to LWOTC's refs, rather than a pure standalone perk pack.

So if you squint hard it works okay, but certainly isn't seamless.

Is RPGO itself even compatible with LWOTC? I haven't played either mod in a while. If the base mod is compatible, this one should be too.

Any hope for an LWOTC-compatible version?

for some reason, my character with Assault has these perks
"Slug Shot - Trench Gun - Combat Rush - Killer Instinct - Extra Conditioning - Combat Fitness - Street Sweeper"

with Killer Instinct + Extra Conditioning replacing Fortify and Formidable
which isn't great since the former two perks rely on Run and Gun, which isn't provided by the skill tree. Anybody have an idea of the cause?

Does anybody know what mod is being used for the soldier customization in the screenshots?

For some reason commanders choice is not working at all with this mod installed, does anyone know how to fix it ?

Hey Ego, are you using Udaya's Reaper Rework mod? If so, comment out or delete the line "+BLOOD_TRAIL_ABILITIES=Deadeye" in XComReaperReworked.ini.
Ego 5 Jul, 2021 @ 7:53pm
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I think the Deadeye perk is causing my unit to bleed at the start of missions.
