Thanks for checking this out and giving Lake of Voices a chance. There are many ways to survive to the end of the game and a high amount of alterations. It's been a bit of a challenge to create an easy to follow full walkthrough. However, successfully romancing a character takes some specific steps. Finding those exact requirements among all the different ways things can go might be tricky. That’s why we’ve at least put out this guide to clear away some of the fog.

The guide isn’t a step by step list, just a general idea of how to get a romance to go through. If you need additional help with this or finding a certain CG or achievement or what have you, feel free to leave a comment or start a discussion in the community. We’ll do our best to get back to you quickly!

Now let's get into the details.

There are three main requirements that need to be fulfilled to get a romantic ending. These guidelines are applicable to all four of your traveling companions.

1. Kikka and her special someone are both alive at the very end of the game
Pretty straightforward on this one, haha.

2. You found their affection based story alteration
Hidden away in the multiple different story branches that can happen on Night 2 are alterations that only occur if you have a certain amount of affection with a certain character. You’ll have to find that if you want to fully pursue the relationship.

3. Kikka has four affection points with the person
Throughout the game there are non-timed choices that determine if Kikka has extra interest in a character or not. You’ll need to get four of those choices and pick the option that gives more affection each time. Some characters can get four affection points without finding their story alteration, while others require that you get on their storyline first and then you’ll have the chance to get their affection points up to four.

Even though the basics are the same, each character has some differences when it comes to the specifics. We’ll shed a bit of light on how to approach the pretty person you want to woo.

The tips will be in spoiler tags, but we tried our best to make them have as few spoilers as possible. We do still recommend playing the game once or twice without looking at them and then coming here if you’re not getting the romance you were aiming for.



Affection-
When you arrive at the halfway island you should have 2 Affection Points
When you leave the halfway island you should have 4 Affection Points

Story-
At the start of the second night only one person should have died so far, someone other than Bemelle
Still at the start of the second night, when the guide is in danger just watch



Affection-
When you arrive at the halfway island you should have 2 Affection Points
When you leave the halfway island you should have 4 Affection Points

Story-
At the start of the second night only one person should have died so far, someone other than Margret
Still at the start of the second night, when the guide is in danger you must help him



Affection-
When you arrive at the halfway island you should have 0 Affection Points
When you leave the halfway island you should have 2 Affection Points
During his story alteration you need to gain the final 2 points

Story-
You will be locked out of his route if you gain affection with Margret or Bemelle during Night 1. Even if he isn’t there when you make the choice itself, there are alterations later on where Kikka is more emotional or shows them extra attention. That will turn the guide off from her before you even get a chance to get closer to him. With Lu, the guide is gone the entire time, so in that case it doesn’t make a difference
