Rainbow Redux: Potions (v.4)

Description
This is not a mod so much as a resource for other modders. This simply adds various colors of the current potion icons so that modders can have a bit more variety when designing items in their mods. It should be safe to merge this with any current mod without an issue as it only adds files and doesn't change anything currently in the game.

Please feel free to use this work in your project freely as I don't ask that anyone get my permission first. I would however like to know where it is being used, simply because I would like to see what ideas people have come up with to use it in. :)

ps, always make sure to check the first part of the .IMAGESET file to make sure that you have all of the files in the proper directories. This is a common issue as some of my icon collections do not use the standard locations and folders that the game naturally uses to store icons for certain categories of items. While this unfortunately may cause some confusion, it does allow users to use my icon sets without any worry of overwriting files native to the game or causing naming conflicts with files. This ensures that both the original icons and the RR Series can be used without worry (even though almost all the RR sets have a BASE version of each icon witch is unchanged). Sorry if this may have contributed to any complications you were encountering.

Yes actually, If you open up the Rainbow Redux Collection page (located HERE ), there is a link to all of the PNG and DDS files that are used by any of the RR Series. Terribly sorry for the slow reply, and thanks for trying out my icons :)

I tried to use the folder from the download Bandit posted of all your Icons, that had the PNG file in it, but I wasn't able to get the potion icons to work in-game. I could select them in GUTS (although the icon locations were all out of whack), but once i launched the game, the icons would just be blank.

I also tried to open the DDS file in GIMP but apparently that file type isn't supported. Is there anywhere I can download a working version, with the PNG files? You can try using Dropbox.

Dang, I thought I had found a way to trick GUTS, but apparently you already tried that ;)

PS The ONLY reason that PNG file is able to be included is because it is the preview graphic. No other PNG files that are put into the mod actually get retained in the final publication.

@Mamba, The png file that is included in the MEDIA folder is the preview graphic for the mod. As seen above, it is just the sample graphic displayed in the steam workshop. I have thought about using this in the past as a way to include the PNG file just to simplify things, unfortunately the I believe the actual PNG file you need for the mod to work is too big to be a preview image for the steam workshop. The solution that I am currently thinking about it simply hosting the PNG files for all of the mods in this series on an external storage site so that people can just download them. I just need to find the time to mess with it, the time to add links to all of my files on the workshop, and find a storage site that doesn't try to soak my mod users in unwanted downloads and spyware.

Yes, it is working. Here's an idea though, your mod does contain a png file, it just happens to be in the MEDIA folder, not the one the dds file is in. So you can add png files...

Couldn't you then add the png file to that folder as well ? Then all someone has to do is move it to the right folder rather than create it from the dds file...

@Mamba, Yeah, I had no idea for the longest time that it wasn't including it. Had to work with several of my regular users before I realized what the problem was. Actually spoke with some people on the Runic forum before I got an answer on this one. Were you able to get them working?

Thanks, didn't know that GUTS does not package the png.

@Momba PS the file in the Media directory of the mod is simply a preview file for the steam workshop, it is of no use to you.
