Description
At the start of the project last year I thought that the maze runner would be a feat of map design that could take years.
I finished it and published it on the workshop in June of 2017, and it recieved more attention than I anticipated.
Well after playing the old map myself I thought it could use an upgrade, knowing that there was a lot to learn in the next year.
So I took it back to the drawing board, pushed after some of the Source Engine limits, and a year later I came up with this map: gm_no_rebels_home_remaster


With a map capable of suppying well over 20 players, this maze is one in which will take a long time to complete. A player or a team of players or a player with an npc team would have 5 minutes to be prepared to explore and search for 13 buttons within the automatically shifting walls. Players have 2.5 minutes to be in and out before the doors close for 2.5 minutes. By the time the doors are closed, the maze begins to move and the grievers come out and anyone left behind will be hunted.
When all 13 buttons have been pressed, not only will you see a completed score counter within one of the wooden huts (scores represented by 13 red prisms), but there are also 13 doors within a round tunnel that will be open. Entering this round tunnel is only up to YOUR discovery.

-60% accuracy to the original movie.
-everchanging and shifting maze
-guidance decals written on maze walls (e.g. blue "3" guides the player to an unforeseen area, blue "6" takes you to an imperitive area to escape the maze. Some other decals guide the player to the doors to the maze; they are "33 RGW", "880 4W", and "669E B 4RN 6")
-8 antlion guards, some with advanced AI (scans maze, then on found enemy they secure perimeter and call all squads for backup)
-4 wooden huts, two bilateral 90 degree symmetry and two 360 degrees. (one with a small shifting "gameboard" maze, one with a score counter represented by 12 red prisms, one with nothing more than fire and many loads of ammo, and the other is abandoned)
-paddock garden
-a small and boring forest (had to put it there)
-two bodies of water
-AI nodegraph

Most features are kept from the old version, but here are new additions:

-61% accuracy to the original movie.
-an ending that tells the story better (the lab was remade, the exit hallway was re-textured with improved lighting, and there is something beyond the maze which you will easily discover my next project)
-2x (double) the maze size and re-distributed 11 of the buttons.
-a device labelled "7", which is mandatory to be found. It guides you to the exit and opens the three gates, of which are open when the main doors are open (closed when they're closed)
-59 antlion guards, some with advanced AI, and 11 antlions (not including the ones spawned by anlionguards)

BUG:
-The maximum ambient generic entities have been reached and can interfere with the maze door sounds.
-"Maze blades" don't always rotate to form a mini maze.

I know you were probaly wondering when "gm_no_rebels_home(BETA)" was not going to be a beta version. So, again, I implore you to try this map out, and for additional information on upcoming maps, TheOgre26 map collection description should have a list.

Can you make a sandbox map, so that you can explore around, toggle settings in the maze, like toggling antlions, toggling the doors, and toggling item spawns?

Where do I find the 7 device? I've been looking for Sector 9 everywhere, but I don't know where it is.
