The special operations forces of the United States, such as the 5th Special Forces Group (US Army), Combat Applications Group (CAG) or the DEVGRU (US Navy), as well as CIA SAD operatives, have taken a very important role in the combat against insurgent forces, especially in southeastern Afghanistan, group in the Special Operations Joint Task Force, after the end of the ISAF mission and the beginning of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, providing crucial support to the Afghan National Army and Police forces, with counterinsurgency operations and search of important personalities within the Taliban and Al Qaeda. The US special operations forces are grouped within the Special Operations Joint Task Force.

0950 Hours.

The route between the town of Kinduf and Kala-e-Noowi has been one of the most dangerous in the region since last year. Taliban attacks on Afghan National Army bases and US garrison posts in the towns of Mafaraz and Tunkuf have alerted the command of the Special Operations Joint Task Force, which has deployed a section of the 3rd Battalion of the 5th Special Forces Group (US Army ) to assist in counterinsurgency operations and route protection to local security forces.

Your mission is to conduct a road patrol in the route between the base, FOB 'Jawadi', and the village of Shoran, aboard a MRAP vehicle (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected), within a convoy of 18 'Green Berets' and 10 Afghan soldiers of the 4th Kandak Commando. The task will be to monitor the road and detect any anomaly or improvised explosives buried by the Taliban, until reaching the town of Shoran. You will be in command of the US soldiers during the mission.
