Crystal Maiden is a spell based support hero with strong early game disables, though that's ofset with her being slow and squishy. She's mostly known for her Aura that gives lots of mana regen to all her allies which makes their game easier. She uses the extra mana to cast her spells more often and set tempo by constantly ganking and pressuring. Her teamfighting can be a bit weak, but if Freezing Field is used at the right time it can deal insane damge. Her spells are still good in the lategame, though her active abilities are all countered by BKB.

Note that all her abilities are really good and you should generally adjust what skill you level based on how much mana you need, or what type of disable you need. Sometimes you want max aura by level 8, other times you only need a couple of points in the aura before you max your other spells.
