TurboTears

Inspired by NES games, such as Megaman, where the only thing limiting your bullet rate was how fast you could press the button and the sprite limit. The best way to maximize your DPS in these games was to use a turbo button that fires every other frame, and get as close to the enemy as possible.

Turbo Tears gives you a Tear Rate of 1, but you can only have 3 tears on screen at a time. The number of tears goes up and down based on your unchanged Tear Rate. Works very well with damage up tears down, such as Polyphemus or Eve's Mascara. Doesn't work so well with Soymilk, Tammy's Head, or Sad Bombs.

Like Megaman, the tears are spectral and go through obstacles. It also removes piercing tears, because they make the item incredibly weak if you have them.

Synergizes with Multidimensional Baby, Dr. Fetus, Inner Eye, Mutant Spider, Mom's Eye, Loki's Horn, Incubus, probably others. Monstro's Lung and Chocolate Milk have a special interaction. Monstro's Lung doubles the tears you can have on screen, but makes them move at a random velocity. Chocolate Milk makes the damage increase and tear rate go down the longer the fire button is pressed. Sticky Tears such as those produced by Sinus Infection or Explosivo count towards a seperate Tear Limit. Nonstandard items such as Brimstone, Cursed Eye, Epic Fetus, Technology, Mom's Knife, Tech X, Ludovico, and the Forgotten, all simply give the player a -1 Tear Delay.

Currently doesn't work with Sprinkler. Unfortunately this is due to a Bug in the API. Tears spawned by the Sprinkler don't correctly set their SpawnerEntity the Sprinkler, they set it to the Player instead. This means that unlike Incubus (which has it's own Tear Counter) Sprinkler Tears count towards the Player Limit instead of the Sprinkler's. At the time, there is nothing that I can do about this, this a problem with the API itself.
