UPDATE: fixed VTF compression

Here's my first P90 skin. Weird I didn't do one before because I have always had a thing for guns with transparent magazines. This is actually the thing I've been focussing on when i started the skin.

I didn't really have a concept per se but rather I`ve been trying to convey the look and feel of said magazine, which is why i included the bullets and spring in my highpoly. I did a seperate normal and ambient occlusion bake for the bullets so i could mask them in where i wanted them to show through. In consequence they react nicely to the light and give the magazine some much needed depth.

I started out with this "realistic" rendition of the P90 and thought about how to make it look more interesting. Played around with several colors for the body and stuck with red. That said, i will probably release a yellow and green edition of this skin if this one goes down well with you guys!

The body looked bland without any kind of illustration so i started doodling on the back of the body in Photoshop. I created silouettes and tried to find some shapes which look interesting. I ended up with something vaguely looking like a gorilla and decided to go for the name of "gorilla warfare". I eventually found out I wasn't the first one with that idea ;)

I've repeatedly asked people for feedback and grew dissatisfied shortly after every iteration of the Gorilla illustration until i finally started to like it for more than a few minutes. This one showed me how valuable good feeback is whilst iterating on design ideas. Thanks to everyone giving me that ;)

I hope you enjoy this skin.

I'd be glad if you vote for me and follow my workshop.

Thanks in advance!
