Disable fullscreen optimizations and override DPI scaling behavior
  1. First, find Spintires: Mudrunner in your library, right-click it, and select "Properties"

  2. Go to the "Local Files" tab and click "Local Files"

  3. Find Mudrunner.exe, right click it, and select "Properties"

  4. Click the "Compatibility" tab, and ensure "Disable fullscreen optimizations" is checked.

  5. Click "Change high DPI settings"

  6. Ensure "Override high DPI scaling behavior" is checked. Ensure "Scaling performed by:" reads "Application"

  7. Click "OK" on both windows, cross your fingers, start the game and see if that fixed it!

  8. If it's not fixed yet, try right-clicking on Mudrunner.exe and select "Run as administrator."

Full credit for this fix goes to Javidoom, who described this fix here:

I only transcribed it into Guide format. Thanks, Javidoom!

Also, big thanks to Angus McFife for the final step, running as administrator. Hope that helps!

Very helpful. :)
Except on the proving ground when the mouse is needed.
