Description

I've always wanted a sandbox map in the style of Aperture. The first version of this map was rather lackluster and inaccurate to the game's aesthetics, so I set about turning the Portal 2 textures to be compatible with GMod. It was not easy. First, I had to copy all of Portal 2's files. But props don't appear because of model filename inconsintencies and materials don't work at all in hammer, so I had to dig to find an old forum tool to convert them automatically. I actually had to compile the map in HL2 Episode 2's hammer because GMod's is too out-of-date engine wise. But when I finished all of this, the map looks far better than it ever has, and I daresay better than a lot of maps using HL2 textures.

Features:
1 Sandbox testchamber with building "plots" and two usable observation rooms
1 Water-based build chamber
Catwalks connecting various parts of the facility
Selections from the Portal 2 soundtrack which you can toggle from the secondary observation room

vintage degenerate, im sure that he was trying to make it as accurate as possible to the actual game, and the actual game doesnt do that. also, some people might want to spawn a prop that is tall enough to touch the top of the map from the bottom (such as the citadel itself)
