OVERVIEW
Was you ever confused that armor customization from Anarchy’s Children (like
present at picture) Firaxis calls Kevlar Armor? If you want to play with those
customizations, but don't want to throw away realism, this is mod for you.
It adds new armor called "Unrestrained Clothes" to which such customizations can be
applied. From its name obvious that actually it is not armor. It just convenient
clothes. So it provides debuff to Dodge (better chance to crit wearer
of this armor) indicating that there no protection, but instead
provides defense, mobility bonus and ability to climb buildings without a ladder.
It means that this clothes does not restrain movement, so wearer can realize all
his acrobatic potential.

COMPATIBILITY
This mod should be compatible with almost everything
and you should be able to add/remove it mid campaign without any problem.
No class override.

CREDITS
I learned how to make this mod by checking what others did.
I used the following mods to learn how to make my work:
  • Masterful Armor by Tigu
  • Walker Servos by Musashi

CHANGELOG
Version 3:
  • Replaced HP debuff with Dodge debuff to avoid injured after mission bug.
Version 2:
  • Jump can be disabled in .ini
  • Infinite armor amount can be enabled in .ini
  • Optional dodge bonus (can be enabled in .ini)
  • More customization options (by requests in comments)

Is there any reason this shouldn't be working? It was working beautifully before, but after rejigging some mods to fix another issue, I unsubscribed and resubscribed to this one, and now it's like the item is not being created at all. I only have kevlar and resistance warrior kevlar as options. What could possibly stop it? Seems simple enough.

@p6kocka, yes. This is strange how XCOM 2 engine handles negative hp bonus at items. Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix that. You can use negative dodge instead of negative HP. Modify the .ini appropriately. I suggest -50 dodge. With this 50% shot from enemy will be crits. It will indicate that is easy to seriously wound your soldier as it no protection.
Maybe later I will do this default. I currently testing balance influences of this decision.

There is something wrong with Unrestrained clothes HP nerf. Every time I end the mission the soldier with Unrestrained clothes gets flaged as injured even if he isn´t ijnjured at all.... I have to wait till he gets healed ...

@Lynx, just use appropriate legs and arms customization. Last two in list is from Resistance Armor. So you can use or Anarchy legs, arms and torso, or Resistance legs, arms and torso to make it look right.
2 utility slots is intended. I can just refuse to use second slot if you think that is unrealistic.

The clothes come with 2 utility slots, is this intended?
Would be nice to keep them the same as kevlar.

Also the new outfits are great, but they dont match the anarchy children, is it possible to make them a single set with no customization, or tell me how to do it.

Doh...What i meant was if you add the Tactical DLC clothes dont add the Kevlar one
