@acl7373 many people consider Agamon the best summon also because of Dark Magick. It is one of the few ways that you can inflict the "Disease" debuff which is hands down the best debuff in the game. People who have completed solo runs on Old School difficulty love it for that as well. Disease lowers enemy physical and magical damage dealt by 25% and causes them to also take an extra 25% damage from any source so the combo of both can allow things that are already powerful like Heavenly swords do do an extra 25%.

Does anyone know which Summon puts out the most raw damage vs single target Yokai/Boss? I figured it was One Shot due to the penetrate and I topped 100k vs gaiden bosses at level 90 with it (the highest single hit I got was about 128k from my Stormseeker using it's eponymous ability (and maybe Killing Power Word would occasionally get near that territory -- but Dual Wield Ronin was doing crits at about 70k and with Heavenly Swords my rough estimate was I was hitting 200-250k)

I think the gaiden Lyra summon that gives you all the protection buffs might be the best one to use turn 1 of tough battles though. But many of the bosses use Chaos Wave which cancels all your buffs. But by far my biggest issue was keeping my squishy backrow characters alive. And Constitution to counter ailments is also decent since you mostly end up using Soul Ring (anti-Death) and Amulet of Elements meaning you don't have much protection from ailments. But unfortunately I think all of the worst ones are Curses not Ailments, even Stun which feels like it should've been an ailment IMO.

I chose Agamon so he's the only one I have extensive experience with but I seriously have a hard time believing any of the others are better than Deathbringer. It says it heals some life but I've never not had it be heal 100% (even at the very last battle when my top characters were at 9k HP). That's definitely the one I would set as a default (you can get a ton of free Kessens off Divination Geo Templar).

Lyra is, by far, my favorite. She's just too useful (4 good buffs or mass heal on demand? sign me up). After her, Balty and Svol because both have single target (good for bosses/yokai) and multi target (everything else) options. Then everyone else. Agamon is a bit above the cut, imo, and Lilith is, shamefully, dead last.

The trade off is that it is a random 33% chance to go off. So you use the secret summon and either get secret of preservation secret of creation or secret of destruction.

WTF OP much? Thats much better than Lyras Song of Protection which only gives "Barrier, Guard, Haste and Constitution"
