Frieda

Frieda is a German steam locomotive. As far as I know, she has only appeared in the film 'The Great Race', being one of the many under-utilised international engines. At one point in the film, Gordon ends up getting streamlined. Later on, when Thomas arrives at The Great Railway Show, he sees - in the distance - a blue streamlined engine, which he assumes to be Gordon. Thomas puffs up to the blue engine, but it turns out to be Frieda.

As I have previously stated, Frieda comes from Germany. She is based on the Deutsche Bahn BR10 class, which consisted of just two 4-6-2 tender engines, one of which is preserved.
