Informations:

This is a XIX century French public urinal. One of many that could be found around the city during the great urban redevelopment of Paris.

Additional informations:

Custom textures and LOD.
It's a prop with a lamp fixed on top of it giving lovely yellow glow at night.
Depending on reception I may make more props from that period. No promises though.

Yes they do exist, Jake. They just aren't used anymore. There are more sanitary alternatives in the 21st century. If you think they are "utterly disgusting" it is good job you didn't live in the 19th century, There was horse manure everywhere on all the streets, and on people's clothes and shoes. It is what happens when you use horses for transport. Oh, and btw, most people hadn't access to showers or baths, or any running water, so people had very strong body odour. They stank. Their undergarments could be cleaned thoroughly but unless you were rich, with servants, your outer garments if you were male got little more than a sponging. You couldn't pop your suit into the dry cleaners.

If that urinal so disgusts you, you are so lucky then that you didn't live in the 19th century. The whole place stank. The smell of urine would be the least of your worries.
