Converge is a "global" order - it affects every AI God Eater regardless of distance. This lets you split up your team more effectively.
The team state options are just kind of wrong. Focus is correct, Split Up makes enemies attack Aragami other than your target (the opposite of Focus, but it seldom works for me) and Free ignores whether an enemy is your target. Attack is correct, but when in Guard your AI will attack any Aragami that's in combat - not just ones in combat with the player.
Besides from this? Your advice is pretty solid. In particular, I appreciate the note to bind guarding to something other than Shift+E - using two keys already used for other functions to guard feels like a strange thing that only happened due to the game being a console port.

The blade special attack can be very useful - the Buster Blade's Parrying Upper saved my ass more times than I can count. Damage tends to not be too great, though.
Setting aim mode to turn on as soon as you switch to gun form is good for snipers, but for more indiscriminate attacks like HDH rounds, healing etc. it's practically useless, as (if I recall correctly) aiming makes you unable to sprint.
The order "wait" tends to only really have use if you want to fight separately from your team for some reason. It seems to be the only order my team reliably follows, except for Converge anyway.
